... to report?

Its like a big white elephant in the SBT room.

No reports is better than a PR war imo. The last update was that they were in discussion, I imagine that's still ongoing.

Meetings over, and the deed is done. They're just building the tension like game of thrones... :emoji_laughing::emoji_laughing:

fully expect them to announce that SISU and Wasps have signed what the are dubbing a "Brexit rental agreement"

in short, that will mean a 1 year extension and the problem is pushed away for 10 months or so

Well im a no deal kind of guy with brexit, same with the Ricoh, let London Wasps go bust.

But to be fair, a move away from Coventry could disrupt any momentum and financial stability we have gained over the last two seasons.

I think the drop in crowds if we moved to Birmingham for a year would be covered by any sales we would get from Wilsons sell on.
London Wasps will not do well without our income for a year, they ll never get a stdium sponser with out a football team there.

They haven't managed to get one in 4.5 years despite the football team playing there mind you

I agree ref Wasps, they need us.

It would be a shame to use the money from Wilson's sale to cover overheads, rather than to push for promotion though. But a Ricoh deal that benefits CCFC is also just as important.

sounds like it will be a short term agreement if its Boddy handling it.In my opinion if it was anything longer then sisu would be involved.
Hopefully it will be a longer deal...but good to be back at the Ricoh either way

The Wilson money should be an extra not something to simply keep the business going. What happens if it isn't one year exile its 2 or 3? What happens if Wilson isnt sold or picks up another serious injury? Last time when we went to Northampton CCFC made over £7m in losses in one year with SISU apparently expecting to fund £21m according to Fisher. Thats straight losses and increased debt with nothing additional asset wise at the end of it just survival.

As for wasps, it isn't about the lost turnover it is about the lost profit they make on dealing with CCFC. That is nothing like as big as the figures bandied around. It also assumes there is no element of replacement. Yes they lose turnover but they save costs. Yes they have lost some major players but with it some major costs. They have also just made a handsome profit from the CVC deal. The sponsorship would be good for them but it doesn't mean they have none at the moment. One year is not going to make them go bust.

Suits both clubs to get a deal done even if just for the short term

edit
also on the sponsorship. I know the original Ricoh deal has ended but do Ricoh pay an element at a lower rate now? What has also gone on is spreading the sponsorship around the stadium with various sponsors not just one - spreads risk. I know everyone (possibly including wasps) expects a multi million pound deal but the sponsorship market is depressed and values generally down. Big deals are a rarity and linked to a specific reason quite often, this would be for a stadium that 15 years old with a tainted history - not convinced the market is that good

Whilst I do believe he will be sold (my prediction is to Everton), the reliance on Wilson's sell-on clause to keep the club in business is short-terminism at its finest.

Relying on any revenue earned from any sell-on clause to keep the club afloat is like relying on a life boat with holes in when stranded in the middle of the ocean.

I do not think Boddy has the authority to sign any deal without SISU's say so. He is also not a director of Otium. Given the legal wranglings that have gone on for 5 years you would expect wasps to insist on contractual assurances from SISU themselves and their agreement of any of the terms

Personally i wouldn't want it to be a one year deal because we would be back doing this all again by the end of this year. It would be good for all concerned to have 2 or 3 seasons without this uncertainty. You would think SISU would want a five year deal, possibly with break clauses if necessary, to tie in with what they said in their statement. The basic clauses like length and breaks should not be troublesome for any property lawyer, what gets more tricky to agree between the parties will be access to incomes and attributable costs and their value

what the hell is going on, can not buy my season ticket and seasons just about over. Without our season ticket money how is Robins going to buy players?

I'd be surprised if Wilson left Bournemouth in the near future. I appreciate that 'he would say that wouldn't he', but all the noises in local press etc indicate that he is happy to stay.

Do you really not know why season tickets aren't on sale yet?
Yep! But all our talk of who we want to stay/go or buy is totally irrelevant until a ground decision is made and season ticket money comes in. Meanwhile time passes and holidays approaches which gives people other reasons to spend their money

The Wilson % could (hopefully) be all SISU are waiting for before selling up.

Or I'm deluded.

Wishful thinking I would think? Not that i am overly supportive of the Hoffman consortium, but didn't one of there offers include Sisu keeping Ryton and any future sell on fees of players e.g. Wilson. Plus the 7-10 Million in cash... Doubt it's the Wilson money they care about

Well a short term agreement might resolve the immediate future quickly and can be a stepping stone to a long term agreement.

the longer I goes on, the more I think the announcement was to appease any protests or noise before the last home game of the season.

Might have missed it, but have wasps said they are in talks with us ?

Has crossed my mind but if 5hey thought that was enough to appease people why did they deploy all them police outside for the last game?
