Bloke rings up to say burge isn't the problem it's the centre halves. Random

Can anyone provide figures on PWDLFAPts for the time Stockdale was playing? I get the sense it "coincided" with one of our best periods of the season. But i'd like to know if we were *scoring* any more, or whether it was that we were getting results due to having a competent keeper who could command his area, take crosses, and inspired confidence in the defence.

He only played in 2 games. Nowhere near enough to show any correlation.

We do need a change of goalkeeper but let’s not all hang our hats on Stockdale third choice I believe at relegation threatened Brum, he’s okay but not the only fish in the sea.

Its a bit of both. We seem appallingly vunerable when faced with a corner.
Just how many goals have we conceded from them this season?

Was he talking about set pieces or Burge not catching or punching the ball. Hardly blame the centre halves for Burge not doing his job.

Davies was unlucky to get taken off

I think Davies only went off with fatigue. Looked shattered. Falling on his backside might have just made the decision for Robins to bring him off. Other than that he had a good game tbf.

Poorly positioned. What on Earth you going on about

He was obsessed with shoving the bloke in front of him out the way as the ball cane over - he wasn’t concentrating

Brilliant no one should ever score
Find it mind boggling how anybody can back burge anymore , in fact you tried to shift blame on one of the most consistent players we have in hyam which is even More hilarious.

Burge can stop a shot but his basics (positioning , distribution , punching , catching and awareness )are woefully short of what is required at this level

Burge was poorly positioned - Hyam didn’t lose his man as we zonal marked

You are correct about zonal marking. But the ball in was excellent and nowhere near Burge. It was a defenders ball all day long for the first goal.

2nd goal was poor by Burge, but he probably only came for it based on the defenders no show for the first one.

Both goals were defensively poor, rather than only being Burge's fault.

We need a new keeper next season or we will still Be the side that drops 15 points a year through keeper errors , fighting an uphill battle before the season starts
