Its an accurate observation not an insult. If I meet someone with blue eyes and comment that they got blue eyes it’s not an insult is it? It’s not my beliefs, it’s a scientific fact. Denial isn’t a belief either. It’s ignorance.
Lol

You know what would be productive? If every one of them got a bin bag and filled it with rubbish from the streets and rivers and hedgerows. If every one of them stopped buying bottled water. Stopped driving cars. Stopped watching TV or using a power outlet to charge their phones. But fuck that. Too much like hard work. Better to lie on the road and pretend to have a social conscious than actually do anything practical.
The rubbish and plastic is the thing we can influence. The planet heating and cooling over decades and centuries we can’t really.

Wouldn't help at all if they were the only people to do it.

But it would. It's a cliche, but you have to be the change you want to see in this world. They should aspire to be leaders on this, to motivate others, to prove themselves through their actions. That would inspire me to change. Instead, I just want to turn my fridge down another degree and my heating up a notch just to spite them.

Global warming and cooling is a fact you’re quite correct. The assumption that it’s man made isn’t fact though is scientific theories.
Blind belief and an inability to want to understand others views is ignorance. But hey, carry on in blissful ignorance.

It wouldn't. It'd be a small pinprick and wouldn't encourage people to take personal responsibility. It'd just mean somebody clears up after them, it wouldn't affect either the consumption or production if all they do is brush the problem under the carpet (or hedgerow!)
What ?.....Getting desperate now norman lol

What else do we have to work with, other than those qualified to study such things? Surely listening to the general expert trend that says it is a problem (with the occasional outlier) means it is a problem? What's the point of people being experts in anything if we just ignore them?

What would be more productive is if the morons who dumped the litter in the first place didn’t drop it in the first place.

I don't have a clue why people are getting so dramatic about saving the Earth, surely someone's version of the great celestial dictator will step in and just sort shit out, right?

They’ve got evidence of mini ice ages over the last centuries. See the Thames freezing over regularly in the 18th century if you need to. Nothing scientific documented like nowadays as it wasn’t micro analysed like it is now. It’s always happened but we’re now trying to change things that have always gone on.

No it’s fact. There’s a direct correlation between rising temperatures of both air and sea and the rise of man made pollution beyond what the environment can naturally absorb. The data goes back to 1714.

There is no assumption as you put it - the science is not theoretical, it is evidenced based. Evidence that is tested robustly and peer reviewed. I am an environmental scientist and know what I talking about. It isn’t a con - it really isn’t.

Talking of small pinpricks, if climate change is man-made, we're fucked. Doesn't matter if the UK does put plans in place to control pollution, there's still 191 other countries that will be spitting it out.

The U.K. is behind many countries. We’re one of the country’s playing catch-up.

No it started with the invention of the thermometer which strangely enough led to people starting to record temperatures. It’s almost as if that is what it was invented for. You probably think Fahrenheit is a lefty though.

The point is, it would need a co-ordinated effort across the globe. It quite clearly isn't going to happen. This protest has sent the cause hurtling backwards. How is shutting down Heathrow, disrupting families going on holiday or visiting relatives, going to get people on-side? It's not. The country isn't buying into it. It's just another London centric 'protest' designed to show their flavour of moral superiority.

Science is the new "Rock & Roll" As you say, scientists create theories that are always based on evidence they are always hoping to be proved wrong by their peers so the specific subject can be advanced, it is true that sometimes a theory will include known error bars until it is either proven or disproved.

We're a tiny country ffs......A poxy island..............Seriously have a word.

And a major contributor to the problem. Here’s a fact that will comfort you. The nations set to be most effected are developing countries. Places like low lying countries such as Bangladesh, countries spread throughout the continent of Africa who are hit hardest by drought. All countries that are going to have millions of people displaced because the land they live on will no longer be able to support life. Hope you have a spare room ready because global warming is going to cause a new type of refugee and quite possibly in our lifetime. I know how you love an immigrant.

Correct. It does need a coordinated effort. It’s not just a national or international responsibility either it’s an individual responsibility. We’ve all got to do what we can as individuals to protect the natural balance. Or as west end lad would put it, we’ve all got to become lefties.

Surely a single ark, 300 cubits long by 50 cubits wide would solve this problem, It's been done before, It could be the Ark MK2, the Ark GTI.

But we have over the last 150yrs. We have created an increadingly warming planet and we can take action to try and reverse that. If not we put our future generations at risk.

We can all do simple things. Eat less meat is a very simple one, even better change to a plant based diet, start leaving the car at home, led light bulbs, turn the heating down a little and put a jumper on instead. Or as west end lad would put it, be a lefty.

As a keen recycler myself I have mentioned before that I recycle my old car batteries by burning the atop a pile of old tyres thus preventing them going to land fill, I have decided that I will, in future, only burn them atop tyres that have been ethically sourced.

So 97% of climate scientists believe in anthropogenic climate change. What's in it for them? Funding? Nope.
Since the cold war the Russians have focussed on 'Duginism'. It's a geopolitical theory based on seeding unrest inside Russia's enemies. It is not about taking a position but creating discord within societies. They try to amplify both sides of arguments. It's pretty damn smart. They want everybody to be unsure about everything.
So you get climate deniers, flat-earthers, anti-vaxxers, brexiteers and q-anon. You get Tommy fucking Robinson and Gerard Batten and Farage is seen as moderate. And it's cheap as fucking chips for Russia! They've almost won and your genuine 'I'm so proud of our British forefathers fighting against fascism' lot are cheering it on!
So yeah, that c**t with dreadlocks who probably drinks water from a plastic bottle and has holidays in Florida and drives a diesel when he's not on telly is probably someone we should have a go at.
