Vlogs....what’s the point? When did it become ok to film yourself jumping around after a goal and spending 90% of the match filming? Really don’t get it. Is it people desire to get some YouTube fame or summat? I’d feel a dick if I just thought I wanna film this match etc.
I guess if you’re under 13 I’d let it slide, older than that then get a grip ffs

Rant over

Think you’ve got it when you say about YouTube fame.

YouTube explains some of it. But what about people like me who likes to film themselves the whole game and then watch it in the privacy of their own bedroom without putting it on YouTube or anything. I suppose people might think that’s odd .... nothing better than playing back the half time pie.

presume you dont have kids , this is the modern world im sorry to say... im constantly telling my kids to stop watching these kind of videos, and belie me.. if I didnt they would watch them for hours on end.

Watching people on YouTube playing video games is the worse one!! They get millions of views & earn decent money from it too. I just dont get it, I can see how playing a vide game can be fun, but what enjoyment can you get from watching someone else play a video game ?

I have two and yes they do watch them. I can take kids doing it as its a lack of maturity thing, but fully grown men interviewing mates before the game 'pretending' to be fucking Des lynam is cringe to say the least. Maybe im just being a miserable old bastard but it makes my skin crawl lol

Do they also grow a bushy moustache for the occasion?

Could you not say the same for everything? Why watch football when you can play it?

I don't watch youtube videos, but I know there are two main reasons as to why people watch youtubers game: 1) they are better at the games 2) they are a personality, it's often not the gaming that is the bets bit but rather the interactions, and 'funny' aspect of the person.

I think the interviewing before and after games is ok, that Arsenal TV was the first one to really hit the big time I think and fair play to them for finding a gap in the market, its essentially 606 for a club but these are genuine fans that travel all over following their side unlike a lot of the people you get on phone ins that ring up.

But yea, don't get the whole videoing yourself at games.

I'm not a huge fan of them but I'm old. My 11yo daughter loves them. She watches them over and over. It can be good seeing someone else's view and entire perspective of the game I suppose, but beyond that I struggle.

i dont like them and i hate people who want to get youtube famous

that said its new generation. my dad thought playing video games was silly in 90s but let me do it!

cant out law it but i wish parents would teach their kids not to be consumed by social media. it has many cons to go with its pros

I wasn't sure if I agreed with you or not but the "Rant over" sealed it.

I saw a clip of one guy filming himself crying at Wembley when we won the chackatrade trophy, think that was the lowest one I've seen, not gone near watching one since then, that gave me all I needed to see on the "trend"

I don't really have an issue with it. It's not something I religiously watch or anything like that but there's clearly a market for it.

You could also say a few thousand men singing in unison is cringe, and that fully grown men fighting each other over a football team they support is a bit pathetic. But that kind of stuff doesn't really get noticed in the same light.

Yeh i guess that's a fair point. It's obviously just me. I'll shut up and get back in my box lol

Blocked my daughter from going onto youtube and videos like that when she was younger before she turned into a retard. She would just watch videos of other people playing games and commentating and then she would end up having to commentate like they did.

That's not the worst of it - my daughter was watching repeatedly a young girl who's clearly spoilt and completely obnoxious/ungrateful to her parents, opening presents and her reactions. There's thousands of these by the family now and they're loaded /famous in part because of these videos. Scary times.

Yeah it's really weird the crap that is deemed as popular.

Bring back bullying.
