Load of bollocks. Came out of the away end greeted by 50 year old blokes offering out kids. Then shouting scum bags, and various things about jimmy hill being dead etc.

Sore losers springs to mind. Thank god we beat that lot.

Now off out of this shit hole for a night out in the toon.

Yeah, it's not on throwing stuff like that. It's pathetic, it's not as if the bottle is going to hit a fellow bellend who is up for it so could be hitting a 90 year old bloke or a kid.
What an embarrassment. Apologies to Sunderland fans.

If these accusations are true then that's fucking disgraceful.

I suppose this faux hatred was always going to bring out the pond life. Throwing shite? Really?

Not sure if that refers to literal shite or just 'junk' but it's still disgraceful behaviour.

If this is true (and I don’t see why people would make it up) then it’s fucking low by our fans.

All clubs have their idiots but if i was at a game and shit or a bottle hit one of my kids I’d be livid.

Someone innocent will end up getting a kicking up there tonight by one of their knuckle draggers; whilst the rats that have caused it mince about like their Danny Dyer.

Got no problem with men who want a ruck going at it but kids shouldn’t be at risk from it.

"A pyro hit a bloke in his 60’s next to me. Had grey hair but it was dyed blue. Hope anyone who was hit is ok. Police and stewards beyond clueless"

I will not defend our fans but the Sunderland fans are just as bad. I am still in a hotel/pub around the corner with my future son in law and my brother and all hell is breaking out. They are looking for what they call "retribution" on Cov fans, so for the first time in my Cov supporting life I have removed my colours.
Will keep a low profile and head south.
They are really pissed off losing to us today.

Exactly, meet up out the way if that's what they want.

Not saying it didn’t happen but personally didn’t see any bottles, flares being thrown down at them.

Having read their board over the last week or so they all seem to have a story about Coventry fans being trouble etc. All were at the game back in 77, and had previous run ins.

Screams sore losers to me and making up a load of shite to make them feel better about themselves

I wouldn't doubt bottles, at mk in the cup there were bottles going into our own fans from the top tier.

This result is the biggest thing to happen to them since 1973.

This fixture has become a joke. Both teams have a minority of fans who are hellbent on ruining it for everyone else. If this year was bad, I dread to think what will happen if S'land don't get promoted and we have to face them next season.

Saw a few bottles being lobbed down. Absolutely disgusted with some of our "supporters" today.
Although it does beg the question why have away fans sat above home fans.

The opposite also doesn't work. Villa Park, Villa fans are, or were, sat above the away fans. Not pretty if you're a Midlands club on an away day there.

I can believe some of idiot fans behaving like that but saying police and stewards ignored it makes me wonder. Are they really going to ignore people chucking bottles and flares?

It’s a dumb setup either way round. Only needs one pissed up idiot to chuck something for people to start copying.

It doesn't help when those Scumderland fans are still whining and wishing a respected ex tv star/manager all the bad will and happy he is dead, what sort on people are they to wish that? But throwing stuff at opposing fans is really not on too !! some bleeding idiots in this world for sure

We have got some absolute c*nts as fans. As nick said, If they want a scrap take it away from the ground and keep the rest of the fans (young, old, women etc) out of it

Sure they werent blameless either but no excuse
I think a few of the c***s sit about 3 rows behind me at the Ricoh! Never heard so much shite come out peoples mouths!!!

There has just been a Sunderland fan on 606 complaining that our players were a disgrace and should be ashamed of their conduct, particularly having a go at Shipley and Chaplin for the way they celebrated.

Throwing missiles is out of order, no question.

Always the victim Sunderland fans it seems, nothing is ever their fault. They have been fanning the flames of this nonsense for years. Making jokes about the death of JH, making threats that led to our memorial garden being boarded up for the home fixture. Whether those threats were serious or not is irrelevant, because they were taken seriously. All over their rewritten version of something that happened 40 years ago.

Doesnt justify throwing of missiles of course, but this butter wouldn't melt attitude just doesn't wash.

Throwing anything at a match is out of order and I hope people doing it grow up and get a nice earlier morning visit.

Sunderland are happy to give it the big ones even their official twitter trying to bring up past. Yet as soon as some one gives it back they cry wolf.

With social media its easy for them to arrange a punch up away from everyone else if that's what they want.
