Good choice of words in the Telegraph for what is going on around us - All these meetings including politicians at Westminster and threats form EFL meant nothing- The thoughts that the Rioch was still a possibility and preferred option i realise now was never going to happen and the whole saga is like Brexit on a smaller scale. Nobody wants to budge and fans left in limbo
Think its time to accept as the writing is on the wall and no doubt non-league football within two to three years. I am totally disillusioned this morning like many after supporting this team all my life and I for one will not be dragged into future hope particularly going through all of this previously and the elation when we finally played our first game back against Gillingham. Not picking up the same vibes at matches and in pubs that it seems different this time and more will attend a groundshare situation as everyone I have spoken to has said a firm Rioch is the only option

Didn't everyone say non-league in 2/3 years last time? Never happened did it.

Really there won't be much affect on the pitch, if we get all of the income from the match days, it will offset some of the loss from footfall. The budget won't take a huge hit and if Wilson/Bayliss are sold this summer, then that income will keep losses down for at least a couple seasons.

It’s all a sorry state from each party but I don’t agree with the non league football prediction.

There is examples of football clubs surviving and also enjoying success with very small but loyal followings with average attendances of either side of three to four thousand.

You run your business accordingly as to SCMP rulings but personally if the manager from season to season gets it right and stability continues on the pitch we’ve enough off it to keep the ship afloat for a few years in choppy seas.

I suppose i'll get shit from certain parties on here but the council don't run my football club never have done thank goodness ,Sisu do and a right mess they have made since they started in 2005 till 2013 they had plenty of time to put in an offer no one else was around no realistic offer was made in that time why not?They are the ones runnig MY club not the Council not Wasps they have had 6 years since returning nothing i keep looking for Tim's Stadium have not seen it yet.Sisu dont want and never will pay the going rate for anything want it on the cheap. Well they and no one else are the ones killing MY club .As for selling the ground on the cheap as far as i know the price was indepenantly set my be wrong.

SISU weren't in charge in 2005 and didn't take over until 2009.

At that time they were initially saddled with a rent contract of £1.2m per season - unsustainable for a Championship club, with the council unwilling to negotiate, meaning the club paid more in rent in the preceding years than Wasps did to buy the entire ground with extended 250 year lease that was never on offer to SISU (50 years for more money). SISU did withhold rent to try and force their hand albeit that there was money held in an escrow to cover. Eventually an impasse meant they left for Northampton, but after Wasps had already been courted by our corrupt council.

I don't think anyone in this believes SISU are blameless and tbh I didn't particularly at the time want them getting their hands on the ground cheap either (as I suspect they would rent it back to the club just different private owners equally bad), but to think the council have played no part in our demise is naïve at best.

media should have helped us whip up a city wide boycott of wasps games if no new rent deal is given to us

Sisu took over in 2007 - nearly 12 years ago it is a long time for a hedge fund to hold onto an investment, I know to many on here there are merely victims subject to persecution from all sides but whilst they continue to own us it will be disappointment for us fans. I hate WASPs, Higgs and CCC for their role but I am personally convinced that a change in ownership will lead to a change in our fortunes.

there is danger in relying on what SISU said about the heads of terms that were agreed 02/08/2012 between SISU & CCC. To start with Heads of Terms are not legally binding

This is what the Judge decided in JR1
I have explained, the SISU plan had terminally stalled by the end of August 2012, because it was impossible for them to agree to purchase the Higgs Charity share in ACL, which was vital to the plan as a whole.

in the AEHC vs SISU case the judge decided
I have come to the conclusion, however, that in circumstances where the transaction fell apart or fell away in August 2012, effectively because neither party wished to pursue the transaction contained in the term sheet

The deal between CCC & SISU effectively died in August 2012 because SISU could not agree a deal with AEHC and had walked away from doing so (as had AEHC)

Whether heads of terms are legally binding or not it looks like SISU tried to make a bid!

Notwithstanding the clear conflict of interest with Mutton leader of the council being on the AEHC board at the time....

There are issues that have not been agreed or resolved however, I think that the first stage is to do all we can to help CCC to work out the best tactics and story to enable the most cost effective purchase of the debt. I believe that speed is of the essence.

CCC are not going to be able to keep their negotiations with Sisu running indefinitely, which currently is the only way we have to create sufficient time for us to work out the approach to the YB and for CCC to have the deal taken through the various steps needed within a local 3 authority. The issues going forward will be around the value of the AEHC stake in ACL and any limits on the sale of those shares to be imposed by CCC.

At present there is good will and we do not want to damage that, but of course, nobody can agree to give away value.
