What makes you think wasps going pop means we would go back to the Ricoh?
That makes it sound like they give a fuck!

for what its worth, I don't. I think the council would rather give it to NFL franchise than CCFC.

I think we will be gone for a lot longer than many on here think. SISU walking away will be our route back to Coventry and why on earth would they do that ?

I don't get why people are so worked up about todays statement.

This morning, before the statement, the Ricoh was the stated preferred option but Wasps were refusing to talk. The club were looking at groundshare options as a means for the club to continue to exist if Wasps maintain their stance. It was believed a deal had been done with Burton but it wasn't the favoured location if a groundshare was required so further options were being pursued.

This evening, after the statement, the Ricoh is the stated preferred option but Wasps are refusing to talk. The club are looking at groundshare options as a means for the club to continue to exist if Wasps maintain their stance. They have said they are at an advanced stage for 2 groundshares.

Literally nothing has changed.

not sure that many are. less than 5 pages on here since the club made the statement this afternoon. there's been more posts about how Clive Eakin will cope on a CWR phone in.

I think some were genuinely expecting either sisu to drop the legals or for the EFL to force ownership change. This statement puts paid to that completely.

Rumour from a few people I’ve heard, apparently in the lounge on Sunday there was talk of wasps being happy to do a deal however the council are blocking any potential deal...

Don’t shoot the messenger

it hasn't. Its just the latest statement in this long running game of chess
Well yeah, perhaps not, but what it does do is show people that sisu have a legitimate way of keeping the club, moving it out of the city with support of the EFL and continuing legal action.

it does. It appears they also have more support from the fans this time to leave Coventry than last time

And given the club statement - the bit that says "Coventry City FC and its management team cannot affect the stances of Coventry City Council, Wasps or of our owners in this situation." Note the term SISU is conveniently omitted from that list of shame...it merely spells out that CCFC are not even pawns in this game of chess. CCFC is a nervous observer like us supporters!

Erm, how can they be omitted when they are listed?

surely their owners will have had to sign off on public statements like that ?

Well I’ve not missed not attending away games this year so I think I’d better get used to not watching the lads at all! Even missed Sunday’s game and wasn’t too fussed!

Shame as the players and management deserve support but I’m not sure I want to get used to supporting them at ‘home’ games!

Still have to wait for season ticket holders to have their go. Don’t worry you’ll be able to have some of my extras, at a cost of course. Don’t worry it’s going to the club.
Ahhh, "the club" I think you will find that the club will get what its given . Certainly not enough to keep it playing in cov.

The amount of people on the Facebook group saying: 'It's not Wasps fault' is making my stomach churn.
Replace "facebook" with "sky blue talk" and "Wasps " with "SISU" and you realise the depth of the split we have come to .
The answer is somewhere in between not helped by clever people grandstanding . I want my football club back. It aint gonna happen

No official answer yet. ??
Still think we will be at Ricoh if only on a year only extension. Need this appeal and it’s verdict prompto. Goal posts might move a bit then.

Official answer for what?

It will be interesting to see the thoughts of the people saying how wasps had to move else they would die. I assume they will support a groundshare as opposed to dying?

Rubbish. How can the local authority stop two businesses making a deal?
