so if SISU one day leave, and Hoffman takes over and agrees with Wasps that we can play at the Ricoh what then?
Do the stay awayers refuse to play at a ground leased by the Scum that are Wasps - and ultimately owned by the council

If that were true then they wouldn’t allow us to move again. Unless something will be announced in 3 weeks

I believe the football league only gave SISU/Otium the golden share following admin last time around on the proviso that the first brick was laid on this fantasy new stadium within 3 years.

Surely the fact that all the talk/plans of a new stadium from years ago basically haven’t progressed and have effectively been resurrected in the last few weeks/months tells us all we need to know.

Just chatting to One of the top security lads up the Ricoh he tells me 99.9% burton is where we’re going.

Is this the same as the rumour we were going to Rugby, MK Dons or the planet Mars?

Like any rumour it's irrelevant until its confirmed or denied, therefore I would pay no attention to it.

yeah, but if one of them starts the rumour then all the others are going to repeat it.
I'm not saying it's not true but everyone repeating something said by a colleague isn't exactly proof of how valid something is.

As much as I absolutely don’t want it or approve, it’s unfortunately looking more likely we are going to have to ground share.

I also appreciate that this time is different to last, as more people now see the abhorrent actions of the council in this mess.

Both of those things are difficult to comprehend, however even for those who sympathise with the club and are more open to watching home games elsewhere, Burton may be a step too far distance wise.

Although I doubt (and hope) there’s much truth in this based on the ‘source’.

I hope it is not Burton.

I would get a ST at Northampton or Birmingham but Burton as you say is a step too far.

I don't see how Rugby or Nuneaton could be realistic options but would renew at these also

Is there that much difference with Northampton and Burton? Must be a few minutes in it. (basing from the Ricoh, obviously if you live miles one side it would make a difference)

Burton is over an hour each way and not the best journey. I could do Northampton and Birmingham in approx 30 mins

Burton is a ball ache for me (Warwick). Blues is a doddle. If the rent was anywhere near similar, City would be mad to take the smaller ground. Away fans could be given a much larger allocation, which would all be extra money for the manager. Yes - it would make the atmosphere worse for the 'home' fans than in a tight ground (e.g. Northampton or Burton), but there will be a handful of games 9pompey, Sunderland, Bristol Rovers etc where we could pocket a lot more money for the running of the club) Sad to be even thinking of that to be honest.

For me

Ricoh 20 miles
Sixfields 19 Miles
Burton 52 miles

I'd sooner go the extra mile to the Ricoh

At the same time, pretty mental having a go at people for not going, when there are more than enough reasons not to.

It's as bad, in reverse, as those who had a go at those for going to Sixfields. Personally I'm not sure I will head to any games. The whole one I did inside the ground at Sixfields was so depressing (and that was a 5-2 win!) that I'm not sure I could deal with that again. If others want to, they can knock themselves out.

When is the deadline

In the CCFC statement from Tuesday last week;

The EFL has asked the Club to provide a full update to its board on 11th April regarding the stadium situation for next season.

This update will cover the various options that have been put forward by the Club and any further developments that arise before then.

All that means is Boddy goes in with a folder and says "these people will let us play there, Wasps wont talk to us, council are getting in the way because of this and that".

I would imagine that's the case.

Not too bothered which of the likely grounds it’s at I will be going didn’t go to Northampton but will this time as it’s different.

I won’t be going and will only go to away games. I hope it doesn’t come to the ground share option but it’s looking more and more likely that it will. I fear for us the season after next if the budget is based on the ground share (which it obviously will be) and the finger will be pointing at people who choose not to go.
I see another relegation looming if that’s the case.

...there'll be far more people who chose not to go than actually do .

I don't blame anyone for going or not going.

If you don't go to away games and you have spent you life (for various reasons) wanting to see your team a short walk / drive or bus trip away from your house and they then move for home games, no one can blame them for not going.

Its always amazed me how some people see the world as such a big place..."ive not been there, its 50 miles away", but they do. Its less than an hour. If you want to see your team you will, if you don't, you wont.

Naturally there will be some who simply cant make it. The large majority have a choice and its up to them to make it

I just don’t get this. You are prepared to contribute to other teams finances by going to grounds outside Coventry but not your own club by going to one ground outside Coventry. You are creating what you say you fear. Oops, I guess that’s finger pointing.

No I’m not creating it-others have unfortunately done that by in house fighting and court cases etc. Because of it and the impending ground share means I won’t attend.
