JCH - did we really misjudge him ? (1 Viewer)

Not sure we did but robins clearly didn’t rate him and I think our assumption that he had a disruptive effect when on the bench. Was surprised he left but think he’ll move from club to club throughout his career

Will he still be under contact in the summer? If so, at least we will get a fee.

He spent all of his time here on the floor. We do not miss him at all.Remember he is now in a very poor team by comparison.

Didn't see this form coming he could be top goalscorer if he moved to Bristol last summer

same as Maddison was too... hasnt worked out too badly for him.

Good player, not played in his favoured formation with us. Do think we might have missed a trick there. Someone above mentioned that he is playing in a very poor team now... like that is supposed to be some excuse for him banging in the goals LOL

He'll put in a Sunderland type performance on Sunday, we all know it. That's his issue, plays when he wants

I thought he was a good player for us, but when a player becomes a disruptive influence on the group, they’ve got to go and their talent is irrelevant. So, if the rumours are true, Robins made the right choice.

We’ve done better since he’s gone, and he’s done better at his new club. That’s a win-win deal. Good luck to him.

No. Has ability but selfish and not the best attitude. Glad it’s worked for him but don’t miss him.

My feelings exactly.

Don’t think robins used him correctly maybe or couldn’t get the best out of him fair play to him though.

Ccfc fans always prefer the badge kisser and the man who lets you have a selfie with them than someone with ability.

It’s the coventry way

I wanted him to be the lead striker this year, it seems like he's thriving there though so best move for him by the looks of it.

Felt he always had the ability to show the form he’s in now but we didn’t get to see it consistently unfortunately.
For me that was partly due to the way he was asked to play and the way we set up as a side.

Bristol Rovers seen something in him and are likely working with his strengths as opposed to asking to come and play there way.

Clearly a player who needs to feel loved and the main man and now thriving in a confident spell of his career.

I always said he had all the ingredients to be decent. Looking at the way he's playing with Bristol I suspect it's the first time he's been played as an actual striker rather than a target man. He's got pace and power yet we decided to use him with his back to goal. Maybe a mistake by Robins.

its obvious something wasnt right and thats a shame

hes a good player, has pace power and can finish
on the flip side at cov he was a pussy who dived non stop rather than keep play going when WE had the ball

MR clearly only wnats central striker to be hold up man which is defensive so that may have helped JCH too tp leave behind

good luck to the lad and its a shame we didnt get this from him

He often didn't have any support at all, in most of his goals I have seen for Bristol Rovers he is going towards goal in the channels rather than trying to flick it on to nobody.

No it’s his fault for falling over tussling centre backs and apparently kissing the badge Nick

He did have the 'worst' goals to game ratio of our 4 strikers...

I thought JCH changed our dimension a lot even when he wasn't scoring and, in my view, was underrated by a lot of our fans, but if he was a disruptive influence, he's got to be shipped on.

Was a super goal at the weekend. Playing with huge confidence not sure he gained that confidence at our club.

Personally, I liked JCH. 100% er in all his games, needed someone up front with him tho and I do not think that our players were best suited to his style of play or what MR wanted.

Never used his Strength and power when he was here! and you have to remember MR's comment that he only applies himsef when he is angry! Lesson for our supporters so rather than Booo! him to get his dander up they should applause and cheer him so as to send him into his Coventry stupor for the match

His goal scoring ratio is 1 in 6 over his career and the only other team in for him last January were Chesterfield who are now struggling in non league. Fair play to him for doing well at Rovers and anybody involved in our promotion last season will always be thought of fondly by me but I'm glad we moved on. Clearly wasn't right for the way we play and I suspect he'll return to type before too long.

Bakayoko is 1 in 10 by the same measure
