Don't know Grendels reasoning but I'll give it a go. Although I reckon it would probably be more than 12 weeks I don't have much confidence in Hoffmans bid being sustainable for a number of reasons:
1) Funding. The fact that bids involve future transfer income or SISU retaining ownership of Ryton indicates to me they can't afford to pay up front. That being the case, and with future revenues given to SISU, where is the money to run the club coming from?
2) Track record. Hoffman and Elliot were involved with Ranson, and have been seen with Ranson recently. Given their refusal to name who is involved that should be of concern. Hoffman has also been duped by Dale Evans, hardly gives you confidence.
3) Council's motives. The council seem right behind this. The last time the council were right behind an ownership bid was SISUs and the reason was that SISU didn't target stadium ownership and were happy to buy the club with an unsustainable rent deal. Are the council keen now because Hoffman will sign the club up to a long term deal to benefit Wasps and dig the council out of a hole?
Getting rid of SISU and having new owners would be great but I'd be wary of the 'can't be any worse' reasoning. A lot of people said the same when SISU got here.

Seen a few preferring the choice of St Andrews if the ground share happens. Couldn’t think of anything worse , rattling around in another 30k plus stadium, I rate that option alongside a potential MK Dons stadium offer.
Personally I’d rather utilise a potentially more practical Sixfields stadium dependant on the financial side of the deal with a capacity of around 7,700 that can cater for over 6k home fans generating a far more positive atmosphere in comparison to being lost in a U21’s game feeling at a 30k loaned stadium.

On a more serious note a 11k stadium is a positive but transport links isn’t so friendly.

The Telegraph have reported that MK are not one of the five clubs previously mentioned as offering City a ground share for next season.
While you can take a lot of things they report with a pinch of salt, if they've made an effort to contact MK to get that answer I would say it's not likely to be MK.
St Andrews easy to get to though on train. Might help a few more make the trip.

Anywhere south of Cov is out for me. Its already a nightmare getting to Ricoh with current M6 roadworks. Northampton adds at least another 45 minutes in each way. MK Dons not a chance way to far on a bi weekly basis. I really fear for the club if we leave the Ricoh again. Although I take board the situation is very different to last time. I am guessing we will lose at least 50% maybe more of the fan base if the club is moved out of Coventry again.

Good train links would be best to get the fans there! Birmngham £3.45 return from Coventry I think its about 20/25 minutes walk to the ground, Loads of skanky car pars off the Old Coventry Road about 15 minute walk up

I doubt we'll get above 4,000 average at any ground within 20 miles. If Robins were to leave because of the situation you can halve it.
If by some miracle there is a deal to stay at the Ricoh for a good few years I think crowds would increase from last season.

Your right that MK Dons we’re not originally quoted by the local rag but let’s be honest they sometimes use on here as a start of a story... I’d not rule them out completely given the opportunity for extra revenue and previous morals as a club in terms of business.
St Andrews might be relatively easy access to get to games but the match day experience would be horrific for both fans and players in a lifeless stadium. It would be like keeping the club on a life support machine.
I get we all have our own opinions, views and restrictions that would govern spectating at a alternative venue but for me I’d prefer a option of sixfields to keep the short term hope alive of the club functioning at this level.
I didn’t personally attend the sixfields period but I’d be more inclined to this time around and the thought of a Tuesday night home game has more appeal at a smaller venue with a lot more atmosphere than a game at a 30k stadium with a reserve game feel.
