Hopefully Robins can pull a rabbit out the hat here. Very tough game . 1-1 bright the scorer for us

Fingers crossed for something from this game but it will be tough. Barnsley have a lot riding on this too. Heart says a point but head says we will lose 2 nil Barnsley :(

I would think only if someone is injured. It hasnt worked out for him this season, and I dont think he is well suited to the type of game MR wants to play.

Midfield needs freshening up for this game for me. Tom Bayliss hasn’t done it for months now and coasting through games with little impact, time to look at Westbrook or Meyler.

Edging towards Westbrook if he’s fit and available as his vision and passing range was impressive when seen earlier this season.

Would agree - Meyler in for Bayliss and let him do the pivot/holding role and free Kelly up to be a bit more box to box like he was towards the back end of last season

On our day we are capable of beating anyone. I’ve had the same message all season; play football, use our superior technical players and we’ll win.

Barnsley suit us as they’ll play football and I doubt their pitch can be any worse than our embarrassment of one.

I’d also drop Bayliss for Westbrooke. Meyler is way too far off the pace and is a liability. It’s a shame as fully fit and match sharp he would run games at this level. Westbrooke has a good passing range and vision, so while we’ll lose Bayliss’ attacking runs, we won’t lose the offensive passing. Ideally we’d drop Thomas as he’s looked off it recently, but a lack of alternative wingers means we can’t (I don’t think MR believes Wakefield is ready yet).

2-1, Hiwula and Bright to score; Burge to have the game of his life.

Barnsley have only conceded 1 goal in their past 8 games.
I can't see them keeping us out, but I can't see us keeping them out.
So, I'm going for a 1-1 draw.

Can't see us turning these over, so I'm going for an exciting 2-2 draw.

About time for Hiwula and Baka to contribute again, Burge needs to up his game again, can see Robins making some changes with the youngsters and maybe Chaplin might be back on the bench

Stuck on the slip road of the M1 J22. Just been an accident, may be missing kick off at this rate.

Edit: now back open.

At the risk of being called a miserable negative c##t, Doncaster win, City loss, 7 point gap and play offs out of reach this season. We've had a good go but i don't think this side has the spirit of last season's and have certainly lacked a regular goalscorer. Enjoy the sunshine those who are there.

Not 1 striker on the bench.

Just 1 league goal (Shipley) sat on the bench.

Concerned with the thought of Barnsleys pressing side of the game today.

Surprised by no changes to the side. Bayliss has to be on the money today as he will be targeted in possession. While when on form he can be a threat he’s also part of our undoing in the midfield battle too often being cheaply dispossessed.

Afraid that last weekend’s pile of shit has blown it at the first hurdle unless there is a massive performance today. Donny showed how it’s done by swiping aside garbage opposition at home

Starting 11 not a surprise but bench doesn’t look as if it will work if we Re chasing game. If we are up with 20 to go Davis, grimmer and brown look like they may get on. Wonder if robbins will get us attacking from the off today.

That and he bottles tackles that give Kelly twice as much work. Can tell there is frustration out in the middle when Bayliss goes more AWOL than Burge on crack

We're going to lose.

That doesn't stop me from dragging the missus somewhere to try and watch it though.

Currently 9.30pm here in Ko Samui, Thailand. The cocktails here are lethal so I'm not sure if I'll see the whole game out the rate this thing is going.

Actually why the fuck am I even on skybluestalk.

A nice win today to get back on track and allow us to forget about all the politics for a couple of hours.
