Way too man teams have come here and kick lumps out of us, we have no answer to this. We need to learn from this. and so do the EFL, L1/2 officials are not good enough.

Simple to solve, take old pros that have just finished their playing days and put them in a fasttrack academy. They understand the tricks/tactics and will not fall for the play acting like today

Bayliss anonymous, bright way too slow. Sterling and Thomas looked half asleep. Hiwula won't need his kit washing at least.

Bullied from the off, no fight.
I’d pretty much agree with that they looked like they had never played together

Bayliss been getting some undeserved over the top criticism recently imo, he hadn’t been great but he wasn’t awful.
Today, however he was useless.

Very frustrating today. Too many of our players were under par today despite a 10 minute spell at the start of each half. Having said that they still looked bang average and 0-0 is what we should have been coming away with.

But again another poor set piece goal and we leave empty handed.

Burge 4
Sterling 5
Mason 6
Willis 5
Hyam 7
Kelly 6
Bayliss 4
Bright 5
Thomas 5
Hiwula 4
Bakayoko 5

Very Frustarting.

As much as we don’t manage this type of game well it’s difficult to play football against such a cynical side.

Burge - 4: could have possibly done better with the goal.
Mason - 4: Too slow and lethargic going forward.
Willis - 4: Another example of why he isn't good enough for the league above. A poor player with the ball at his feet.
Hyam-- 4: Terrible header to Burge.
Dujon - 4: Worst game for a very long time.

Kelly - 4: Like previous, one of his worse games.
Bayliss - 3: Gone missing again.
Thomas - 3: People will slate Burge each week but Thomas has fluffed his chances game after game.
Hiwula - 4: Missing again.
Bright - 5: Some superb touches but he has so much to learn. Some poor decision making.
Baka - 5: Worked hard.

Ponti and Shipley. Nothing to add.

Oxford were very effective. Experience all the way through their team and bench, and boy did it show. Bullied throughout the entire game. Bakayoko has a decent first half and that was about it. Whole team were poor and didn’t know how to react from Oxford pressing us high all game.

Wouldn’t believe it was the same team as at Peterborough last week. First 10 minutes we were excellent next 80 all of them were poor. Sterling reminded me of some of his early performances today. Typical city though have a chance t move into the top six and fail to turn up.

Burge 4 - another assist for him. He must be almost in double figures now
Sterling 5 - average from him
Willis 6 - thought he played pretty well
Hyam 5 - why head it back without looking
Mason 5 - desperate for him to get 5 yards further up the pitch and whip ball's in
Kelly 4 - docked a point for not giving them a bit of a kicking back.
Bayliss 4 - couldn’t find the space or make the space to be effective
Hiwula 3 - didn't influence anything
Baka 6 - strong start, unlucky not to score
Bright 5 - bits and pieces
Thomas 4 - misses another sitter. Contributed to our downfall

Shipley 4 - one decent burst into the box, half a penalty shout. Why you'd bring him on when you are chasing a goal though I don't know

Ponticelli 4 - game was gone when he came on. Barely touched the ball.

Burge 4 (Shudda held on to the ball)
Mason 5 (Our best player today, not saying much)
Willis 4 (Needs to venture on a bit more)
Hyam 3 (WTF was he thinking?)
Sterling 4 (Tried hard but not good enough today_
Kelly 3 (He fills me with dread! He aint good enough)
Bayliss 2 (Hasn't been doing it for weeks now)
Bright 4.5 (Tried hard)
Thomas 4.5 (Would have been a different game if their keeper hadn't pulled off a v.good save)
Bakayoko 3.5 (No movement, not gambling on loose balls in the box)
Hiwula 2.5 (No quality today)

As usual, out smarted by a team who were good at breaking up play with little pushes and shoves. I thought the referee was piss poor

How can Ponticelli get a 5. Did he actually touch the ball? I have never seen anything from him to make me think he has a future in league football.

Enobakhare was the best player on the pitch. Some great long balls and good close ball control

Kelly just kept backing into any player and then rolling on the floor - it was embarrassing.

I don’t get it with Thomas, he can’t kick the ball cleanly if he tried. Even his goals this season have been scuffs and miss hits

Bringing Pontichelli on in a wide position was one of several baffling decisions by Robins today.
Fuck knows what he was drinking at 5hat lunch.

Burge 3 Another cock up. No communication with Hyam who tried to header it back to him before the goal-Burge should be yelling at him to hoof clear.

Sterling 4 That quality we saw has deserted him lately.

Mason 5 Put 2 or 3 great balls across the face of goal in the first half and wasn’t it his cross that Baka hit the bar with? Apart from that though quite poor.

Willis 4 Quite clearly had the jitters today-unlike him.

Hyam 6 Thought he was not too bad but lost a point for his part in the Burge cock up.

Thomas 4 Couple of powderpuff efforts and that was about it.

Bayliss 3 How did he last so long?

Kelly 5 Got bullied out of it most of the game.

Hiwula 3 Might as well of not been on the pitch.

Bright 6 Slightly better than the rest but slowed it down far too much and was at times far too casual.

Baka 5 Should have scored with the header first half-plentifully effort but not his fault that there was very little or no support.

Subs Shipley 5

Ponticelli 3 Did he touch the ball?

Robins 5

Too many players had an off day and when this happens you get this type of game/performance.

I'm still feeling pissed off about this. Too many passengers, not enough urgency and not enough bravery. Hiwula was anonymous, as as hard as Bakayoko works, he just doesn't hold the ball up. Jones was fit and played all season he'd have been on 15+ this season had he got into the amount of attacking positions as Thomas. Thomas's output isn't good enough, he's on a dip in form and needs to drop out but we have no options to replace him. Bayliss was anonymous today too. Bright for all the lovely footwork, made wrong decision after wrong decision and slowed the game down far too much in the second half, also far too deep.

Pointless putting Ponti on, then not getting 1 ball in the box for the entire time he was on the pitch.

We just don't have enough quality or goals in the team to break down teams that want to park the bus. We played well against Peterborough because they commit men forward and allowed us space to counter.

Burge - 4 (should have done better, also made routine stops)
Mason - 3 (really poor going forward, so reluctant to go forward and create width which we needed)
Hyam - 4 (didnt do badly was defensively solid but put us under unneeded pressure, and his distribution at times was poor)
Willis - 6 (thought he had a really solid game and tried hard to get the ball forward with his passing and taking the ball out from the back)
Sterling - 4 (solid effort and tried to get wide but because the left was so poor he and Thomas got marked out of the game when it came to the final 3rd)
Kelly - 4 (thought he marshalled the middle quite well but was too sloppy in possession and didn't look forwards enough)
Bayliss - 3 (didnt bring much to the game, no driving with the ball and nothing creatively, poor from him today should have been taken off earlier)
Thomas - 6 (thought he tried things, was the only one willing to get into attacking areas in the box, only one who looked like scoring, should not of been taken off)
Bright - 6 (thought he was our most creative player, didnt get much from those around him, but needed to get into the box more when the ball went wide and help bakayoko more)
Hiwula - 2 (honestly offered nothing, nothing forward nothing defensively, didnt hold the ball didnt get into attacking position all round shit, wasn't helped by mason's reluctance to add width down the left at all however Hiwula always seemed to pick the wrong option the rare occasion he had the ball at his feet)
Bakayoko - 4 (he tried his best to battle and put up a good fight but needed to be stronger at times but was completely isolated today from the whole team especially the 3 behind him, should of got into the box more and did more with the rare chances he had but needed service today and he didn't get it at all)

shipley - 6 (didn't have long enough but energised us, gave us well needed width and enthusiasm and orchestrated the most creative move of the game where we should of had a penalty in my view)
pontecelli - 3 (didnt impact the game, not all his fault but didnt make an impact when he came on)

robins - 3 T
Today robins tactics were all wrong. we over played in areas of the pitch today which we didn't need to which wasted time and sometimes lost us possession which we knew a team like oxford would do to try and frustrate us. we knew we were going to be up against this sort of team that niggles us and is quite physical so we needed players to combat that and try and win the middle. Then we could use our flair players on the counter attack or to use intricate passing to break them down. For robins system to work we needed some bully boys in the middle of the park to dominate and our fullbacks nice and high to give width and win the ball back early. we could then use our attacking players to flood the box, or to try the long ball to Bakayoko and get players around him for flick ons and knock downs. I would of played 4-2-3-1 but in a more counter attacking way. Brown and Sterling could add width and stay nice and high and wide, while kelly and myler can battle it out in the middle and spread the pitch with passes to either a winger or a full back. this would mean that more players could get themselves into an attacking area. We would also be able to use long ball to Bakayoko if we needed from the middle and because our fullbacks are higher and more willing to go forward our wingers and cam will be closer to our striker so he wouldnt be issolated. Today we got out enthused, outplayed and out thought. We need a big performance against barnsley now, in robins i trust PUSB!

team i would have selected:

burge - gk
Brown - lb
Hyam - cb
Willis - cb
Sterling - rb
Kelly - cdm
Myler - cdm
Thomas - rw
Bayliss - cam
Bright - lw
bakayoko - st

I will just put this here that as above was not a strong performance by anyone - but the biggest shocker was the ref - strutting around like a peacock not looking at the game - wanker - bareback - no protection
