Bright may come across as infuriating but sometimes you need to slow things down and let the strikers runs develop and space open up instead of just forcing things at 100 mile an hour. I think he's a really clever player, I can understand how it can be seen as him slowing play down but sometimes that is what is required, to be able to slow things down whilst keeping the ball and then pick a pass is a rarity at this level.
Because hes black he cant just be skillfull. He has to be skillfull and headless chicken to msny of our fans

Sad but true. People wont like hearing this but its truth no matter how muxh they protest

1 poster in particular would post everytime he misplaced a pass. Talk about having a vendetta!

If we make playoffs its HUGELY down to bright joining us on loan

I think we all would agree who we thought was going to be the success out the two but personally i think baka is more influential to the team. I think we play better as a team with Baka and i think Jordy benefits from playing with baka. Chaplin snatches at shots and baka is a threat in the air. I hope chaplin comes good but i know who i would rather have now.
We also have Ponticelli who in my opinion will score more goals that Chaplin ever will - if he gets a chance.

Hmmm.

Personally I really don't think Hiwula suits the left side in the slightest. He goes missing, does little, offers no support in defence.

What he has done is chip in with a goal or two and, in a side where nobody scores, that's been welcome. He's a centre forward or nothing however, in my view.

Think he’s done better recently but I agree he doesn’t suit it. I don’t think it’s a role he can learn either, just doesn’t seem to have the attributes. Shipley does it a lot better but then doesn’t have Jordys pace or skill.

He’s not a winger which is what he was being asked to play earlier in the season. Since Bright has come in as a proper number 10 though we can play the 4-2-3-1 that Robins favours and he’s done much better as a wide forward.

Agreed.

Bakayoko makes runs in behind which not many of our other players seem to do. The goals against Charlton for example where he got the wrong side of the defenders, same for the Walsall one.

We didn't have that sort of movement before, not since McNulty

He just needs to improve on his final shot and I think he will get more goals.

I thought the goal he scored against Pboro was an excellent strike of the ball and he looked composed!

I think there are similarities to the Chaplin signing as the Eastwood one. We signed someone who we had high hopes for but was signed after no pre season and it showed.

The difference being I think Chaplin will do alright after a good pre season. Unlike Freddy :D
Unlike Eastwood though, at least Chaplin runs around a bit, helps his teammates out, has a footballing brain and doesn't come to work in a fuckin horse!

Oh, they're both pretty good at freekicks though!

Hope you mean ‘on’? As ‘in’ a horse is something very different......
Ah yes, Chaplin is a Trojan for sure, whereas Freddie was more of a NoGun...

Apologies, shit analogy!

Still don't think we have played to Chaplin's strengths. Apparently more of a poacher ( although his finishing would suggest not.... probably low on confidence though)
Bright in the 10 spot has done ok.
Would still like to see bayliss further up but then you'd have to sacrifice something else in the top third. (And add another midfielder in behind him)
Thought Robins may have tried meyler and kelly with Bayliss in front but results have meant he hasn't really had to tinker too much.
Hiwula hit and miss out wide, but again, put him central and you have to sacrifice Baka, who has desereved his run in the team.
Summary.... Robins doing ok with what he has and injury to Chaplin forced the change... which has largely been successful!!!

Do you mean egg poacher, he’s certainly no goal poacher.

Robins has signed Chaplin to score goals so next season needs to sign a striker to support him

We have a strange selection of forwards. Hiwula can clearly score goals but 90% of the time is ineffective and I don’t see as a partner with Chaplin

Chaplin suits a traditional forward alongside him so we need to adjust tactics

Bakayoko is lamentable - whatever Biamous limitations at least he stands up to be counted - there is no side who has any promotion aspirations who would have Bakayoko anywhere near the first team - Chaplin with the correct formation they would

Or they would sell him

Why? You seriously wouldn’t retain Bakayoko if you want a promotion push would you?
He literally offers nothing. If we want to build on next season and be comfortably top 6 pushing autos, we cannot start with him as first choice striker.

We also need someone with better output than Thomas. Hes been good this season, but has little end product.

24 goals in 23 home games is a poor return.

Because that's what a promotion chasing team did?

There is not one of the 6 teams in the play offs who would want Bakayoko at any cost

He’s shocking and will I assure you be gone in the summer even if the club have to induce the sale.

The do you honestly believe Luton, Barnsley, Portsmouth, Sunderland, Charlton would have him ahead of their current striker? I say no

Chaplin is a good option as a super sub or up front in a two at home but we need our main striker, especially as we play one up top, to be more productive. Eaves, Marquis(if donny go up) or Doige would be my targets.

Can’t see us changing from 4231 tbh so don’t see where Chaplin fits in...
Yeah it does make you wonder why Robins was so keen to sign Chaplin with playing that formation , 4231, most of the season.

Might be in the minority who quite likes bakayoko , would have scored absolutely shit loads off him if hiwula and Thomas could finish more consistently
