There's already been 'outrage' about that but the kids parents say he had a fantastic day and it was filmed in two separate takes so wasn't actually said to the kid.

Just started on it tonight, so first two down. Absolutely brilliant!
Not generally a Gervais fan (think he’s a bit of a knob tbh), but After Life has changed my opinion of him. Wife is going through a possible cancer scare at the moment so some bits hard to watch, but that doesn’t detract from a great programme
