Sunderland fans have been raving about their away followings all season.

In all competitions we averaged more away last season.

Get angry about some football thing that happened before a lot of them were born sure, but lolling about bombing raids that killed hundreds of people is that extra touch of class you hope for.

And why are we bothered? Why are we crying about the mean words from the Sunderland fans?

Imagine hating a low tier Midland club because you couldn’t get enough points to stay up.

Not sure why you’d be interested in their thoughts and forum

They having nothing better to do up there!
Half of them sit at home wanking in their pyjamas - they should try getting a job - that would take their minds off these petty pent up prejudices from the distant past.
As I said “wankers”

Erm...all well and good, but can you name anyone who doesn't wank in their pyjamas?

Looks like they are going to Wembley to play Pompey, I think our Checkatrade trophy final attendance record is going to get smashed, sadly :(

I don’t see the issue with what ever they think or say about ccfc.

Is it not the same when many talk about Notts County on here now or in 25 years time say if we’re using the same yard stick. Or is that different.

Who cares about Sunderland, we will file there vote as a possible out for now in case a fan gets to vote on behalf of the club.

Nobody is that arsed, it's just amusing and all a bit odd.

Why would we be talking about Notts County in 25 years? We won't be. That was just tongue-in-cheek banter that will fade into memory very quickly and any grievance is theirs anyway.

When you have a middle-aged knuckle-dragger spitting abuse at the statue of a dead man as we witnessed earlier in the season, it's probably worth a mention, even if it isn't important. Weird bunch.

Agreed. Last years banter, that was fueled by adrenaline and probably no short supply of alcohol. Otherwise, we have had pretty good rapport with the poorer half of Nottingham over the years. Same with Walsall recently. Partly inflated by ourselves (yes, someone calling themselves "Grendel" did appear on their site earlier this year to spout ridicule at them), mostly the banter has been good-hearted and passionate.

That whole scenario however is completely different to the grudge the Mackems have held for over 40 years. As someone mentioned above, some of the keyboard warriors on their site weren't even born at that time. And our current troubles are just fuel for their bonfire.

Kind of see your point, but I think now the playoffs are done and dusted, the majority of our fans seem to be sympathetic to Notts County’s current plight. For the large part, banter aside, most football fans seem to sympathetic to another club that’s going through a tough time.

Most of us only support Coventry because it’s our local team or family influence, and it’s the same for most EFL clubs

This Sunderland feud with Coventry seems to have reignited fairly recently because the last time we played them in the Championship there seemed to be no ill-will from what I recall.
