I'm after any suggestions of things to do in Coventry in the evenings.... Just want something where I can go and have a bit of fun, meet new people, pick up girls etc.

No suggestion is too stupid....

Check Fargo's listings out. They quite often have gin nights on a Friday and sometimes Caribbean nights etc.

Great suggestion but I'm kinda after something to do myself, I suddenly have a huge amount of spare time on my hands in the evening. New sense of confidence to go out and try things....

Have a look at the ballroom climbing wall.
Started going before Xmas. I'm not that great but notice an improvement every time I go. Not very expensive and always people there are very friendly and talkative. Most climbers there are very approachable for tips on how to climb better and have a chat etc.

Was going to suggest the very same place.

Have a browse through this lot too. Not sure what you are into (apart from girls), but you might find something (astrogological clubs, sporting clubs such as archery and badminton, bridge clubs etc. etc.)

Local clubs and social groups - Search Results | Coventry Information Directory

I'm very open to new things anyway, so I'm willing to have a good go at anything.

I got booked on to a dance class, which starts tomorrow. Never done it before in my life but should be a laugh at least...

Will definitely give that rock climbing thing a go within the next week.

Have you been on the Meetup app?

Bit hit and miss with what’s on, lots of hippies and geeks (luckily geeks are my thing), but events are open and really friendly in my experience. Met the girl I’m seeing at the moment through one.

No, I haven't, but I will now, thank you.

A Mexican colleague of mine who has just moved to Cov and joined a friendship group in Earlsdon where they meet up for nights out, boardgame nights etc so might be worth googling that otherwise when I’m back in the office I’ll ask her for the groups name.

Alternatively fitness classes, book clubs and the like are always a good place to meet with people or enrol onto a short course etc.

The Albany Theatre is always after volunteers to help with shows, front of house stuff, selling programmes, drinks etc. You sign up for the afternoons, evenings you can do, and you'll get to see some shows for free (some will be terrible).

Samba dancing is fantastic and I recommend it to anyone, some absolute gorgeous birds about too...

Join an amateur theatre group. They are always short of men. Almost all women, sometimes they have to get women to play the men's parts (no pun intended).
