Apparently an offer still on the table for the club (1 Viewer)

Nick, Any idea when the council and wasps representatives will start posting their campaign up on here today? The cricket starts soon so don't want to miss out.

'Is everyone forgetting that after wasps bought the stadium SISU then included them in the legal action....
They were quite clear last year - agree to another year but we won’t talk again until to stop the legal action.
Fair enough in my view.

All the bullshit that fisher and boddy spout about them being completely separate in all this - Joy employs them to run the club on her behalf, in fact employed Fisher specifically with going down the path they have done since the rent being withheld.
Am I happy that CCFC don’t own the stadium and a London rugby club does - no not entirely - but SISU have only got themselves to blame, and are in this mess by trying to force a hostile takeover by trying to put acl Into admin by not paying the rent, getting the club relegated (twice) and not buying the shares in the stadium when they had the chance 10 years ago.'

too late. looks like it might have started

Not sure where you get £53m from?

Losses are what SISU have been known to trade in so perhaps they are able to offset against other gains and get tax back?

If they sold for 7m that wouldnt cover the capital element on what is owed to ARVO. Based on accounts to 31/05/2017 Losses that are potentially available from this are
1. under recovery on the ARVO & SISU Master fund loans up to about £17m inc interest is my best guess for now (ignoring possible £7m)
2. Shares in Otium £65.5m
3. loans in SBS&L £28m

say they could offset at 19% = approx £21m tax saving

However the actual hard cash they have put in i calculate was £33m up until 31/05/2017
I'm just taking 7 from the 60 quoted. Not accurate figures just theorising as to why they might not sell.

I predict that Sisu (who are backed into a corner right now) will call off the legal action and then agree a deal with Wasps to stay.
Its the only course of action that makes sense!

CCFC are backed into a corner.

SISU aren't.
Symantics (CCFC - SISU) you know what Im getting at! - we (CCFC & SISU) are backed into a corner along with everyone else connected with the Football Club.
By Wasps and EFL (and SISU)

I’m a bit naive with all this. So I’m going to ask a dumb question!

Something there behind the scenes... like what?

if i knew i would say ............ but past history says there is usually something that people are not seeing. bit like misplacing registrations, lending money to a non trading company securing a charge on two other companies and waiting for it to hit the fan etc..... that kind of thing

Exactly.

SISU would have seen it coming a mile off, it's just what their plan is in return.....

People don't seem to have been picking up on me pointing it out and going on about conspiracy, paranoid etc. Like last time when ACL / Haskell partied into the fishing net they had already set.

For once it actually seems like SISU have options. Which is a terrifying reality really.

Which is the point I have been trying to make and people should think about in the next couple of weeks when it is all about "Just give the club to Hoffman so we can live happily ever after".

Fans need to realise that the Gary Hoffman consortium could full well be another SISU. What qualifies him to be a good owner? Does he have the prior experience? Does he have the finance to bring the right people into the fold? It's all well and good saying SISU need to "fuck off", but if the club gets into bed with another poor owner it will surely mark the end of the club.

I think a major benefit of 'anyone but sisu' is that people shouldn't;t have an excuse not to come support the team and it might eventually lead to realisation that the insects have us over a barrel for the next 245 years. At the moment people are so blinded by sisu hate that they can't see anything else.

That wasn't so much my point, I am not saying he is a bad person etc.

What I am saying is that SISU aren't going to just think "shit, they have done us over here. We had best just hand it over to Hoffman and be done" are they?

Isn't that kind of desperation what got the club into bed with SISU in the first place though? In football as in life, you really have to be careful what you wish for.

But what are the options for fans? They come on here to give their opinions... not all are wise or well thought out. But it’s a way to vent. And lord knows we all need a way to vent right now! Truth is, we’re completely helpless. Venting is our therapy!

Oh neither am I, but I'm saying that fans need to be careful what they wish for as a 'new owner' isn't necessarily a better owner.

Oh okay sorry, no chance they will. They might be reckless but SISU aren't stupid whatsoever.

Of course, Hoffman doesn't have a great track record, he bought sisu here.

I dont think we have many options if any to be honest.

Just when Hoffman and his bids pipe up again don't get too carried away that he will be the saviour like people did with Haskell!

I won’t be getting carried away with anything. I agree with you on the Hoffman thing.

Concerning another point just made on here about “anyone but SISU” and the potential of returning supporters with them gone... I remember under the previous regime that there were a large number of supporters who refused to go to games until they were gone. SISU took over and the people I knew who had said this came to about 5 games and then that was it. My point is, don’t wish for anyone but SISU, it’s guaranteed that this situation would happen all over again.

Like moving the club to a site that can be developed at a profit and blaming Wasps/CCC for it.

I saw a tweet this morning from someone (never heard of) talking about sharing a new stadium near the NEC with Birmingham.

This remains just a conspiracy theory for now.

It's been quite obvious for a while what the plan was. Hoffman's timing and the way he did things last year seemed to also be well timed when it came to what Wasps were doing.

The silence from people like the Trust was suspicious, they wouldn't say anything about the council or Wasps. They then started having meetings that were wrapped up in legals to stop them from being discussed as well as meeting with Hoffman and Elliott.

Who is going to take legal action them for a meeting where they are pressuring them into helping?

A few things people have said have made it stand out that the plan is for Hoffman (or somebody) to appear and say they can keep Coventry here if SISU hand the club over to them.

It's not much different to the thing with Haskell where it was all lined up for him to take over and it backfired.

That probably stems from when there was talk about a stadium being built for the Commonwealth Games there but it is now not happening.

How can Hoffman (or other) enforce that though?

Wouldn't be the worst place for a stadium, certainly good transport links, plenty of space, etc.

As much as it was obvious its a shame that those pointed out were basically told they had no idea what they were on about and were in tin foil hat territory. How many times was it stated there is no attempt being made at regime change and that the trust would no be involved in anything like that.

Yet at the same time it was being pointed out the Trusts own minutes showed them meeting with Hoffman and there was a deafening silence with the promised targeting of all sides. Would be nice if the Trust didn't treat their members as complete idiots who will fall in to line when required.

Doesn't matter actually I misread your post. You said: A few things people have said have made it stand out that the plan is for Hoffman (or somebody) to appear and say they can keep Coventry here if SISU hand the club over to them. Obviously they can't force SISU to hand the club over to them on that premise alone, I misinterpreted.

Wow you are actually ambivalent to franchising the club to Birmingham.

That's the thing sadly.

It would be nice for somebody to explain what is actually happening with it all rather than trying to bullshit about it thinking people are stupid.

Will ask if CJ can come on and say it's all a mistake and I am miles off. No doubt it will just consist of some strange accounts saying I work for SISU or something, even they have dried up since I started pointed out who was behind them.
