Agreed nothing like 2000. I've been in for a poker tournament with 500 and it's absolutely rammed. Most are also not dropping £50. Some of course will be and some excessively more, but most are for a couple of beers only.

When SISU, Acquired the shares, Ranson promised that the club would be in a better place when SISU left than when thy came , if we no longer exist and with the liquidation that has already taken place , could the original shareholders NOT SUE SISU as this would not/is not to be the case

When you look at what Wolves and Villa were sold for in a higher league than us, own their ground, own their training ground, own their academy etc then even at the minimum amount it was a decent offer. My only gripe with it was that there was the potential for SISU to continue earning after they sold. They offered more than the club was worth in reality and I think anyone would struggle to form an argument to prove otherwise. I’m sure someone will try though.

While attendances might indicate 10k members, CCFC means a more to the wider community. There are a lot of people who would come back if this mess is ever sorted out. There are are lot who would come back with another promotion or two. Think of the numbers who have been to Wembley, the turn out in the city centre last summer (was it 50k?) and the 250k who were there afte4 the Cup win. I think the club is a major part of the cultural life of the city to many people. I know whe next I bump into people one of the first topics of conversation will be “The City” because they know I go, even if they don’t. They are still interested.

I’m glad you agree they offered more than it was worth but I’m not sure how they would have been increasing indebtedness when any extra money paid out to SISU would have been from financial windfall not by growing debt. As I understand it anyway. Still didn’t like the prospect either way.

I work in Birmingham and I always get asked how Coventry got on at the weekend. We’re a bigger deal than the council give us credit for.
I’ve only been asked how wasps are doing once... that was when I was in London - I told him in no uncertain terms that I don’t know or care, only that I hope they go bust.

Nobody wins if we go under, simple statement of course but Sisu will have a reputation problem big time in their field - always known as the company that lost lots of court cases and took a famous football club under. Wasps will face the backlash of being the business who helped close down the entity for which the building was built for and again will always have that stigma over them and the council face a political backlash the likes of which I suspect they can't even begin to imagine. So they will find a deal in my opinion.
Wasps have to move their stance but that would be made simple overnight if this continued and fruitless court action was to be dropped. The council also have a huge part to play to continue to ensure Wasps and Sisu no longer play russian roulette with the club.

I agree , but they are giving notice of an intervention, an EFL members meeting to consider expulsion, with deadlines. It also provides clarity about what the Club it required to do, in order to avoid this intervention.

Mmmm well this should focus the minds in a number of locations - Sisu will be looking for the value direction - just not sure what that is as the players contracts are possibly the only assets but given no club ( not the preferred option) agents willl be looking to cash out of Coventry - await with baited breathe !

I was expecting this one. The wider community are of no import at all to SISU and Wasps as they provide no revenue.. They might have an impact on CCC, but the Council have a scapegoat in SISU to blame. The wider community have no leverage and are not sitting at the table. If they attended games it might be different
