If he hasn’t lost the dressing room and the players are on board then stick with him. Bollocks to someone else coming in and steering us to the realistic mid table finish we should be meeting only to spunk the budget in the same way and get sacked this time next year if we are not top six again.
There is a semblance of some sort of structure at the club for the first time in a while and he deserves time.
Only in the event we are within a few points of relegation and on this run should he go for me in this season.
We are playing ok and creating plenty of chances. Polar opposite to Slade and the like.

The standard of league two football was absolutely dreadful, I spent nearly every game saying to myself that if we didn’t get promoted with the standard of teams in that league we’d be there for years. We finished 6th and nearly 20 points behind 1st. Not really the best season to shout about

Our first promotion in forever and it was 'shit' and 'painful' and we need to sack the manager because after winning said promotion he has us mid table in the league above. Unbelievable.
Some of you need to get a grip. Or go and support Man City.

We got promoted.
If you look at the statistics for teams being relegated to league 2 we performed better than most. We weren't going to go from a team with a losing mentality to pissing the league in a summer. Robins did well last season and deserves at least this one.
People need to live in the current not the past.

The buck stops with the manager, you have to draw the line somewhere, he gets paid to win football matches, so therefore I would give him another three games to turn it around.

For those who think last season was a roaring success, there were many low moments (Acccrington, Forest Green, Yeovil). I did both away games at Notts Co as will a number of you and the first visit was a real concern. I certainly didn’t think we’d be going up that day and it was not that long before the end of the season. Okay, we got promoted and tbh if you’re not going to be champions then in the best way possible. A bit of a lottery but gave me two of life’s stand out moments in the semi and the final, but it was papering over the cracks of a difficult season and we got lucky with 28 goals from Sparky.
This season it’s not so much as being found out, but less team spirit, less goals and more needed from the side lines in terms of in game management where Robins is clearly lacking (fwiw he definitely forced out Doyle despite some of the conjecture above). Often he sets us up well and team selection is ok, but he never adapts or reacts to what the other team are doing and that’s a definite worry. Add to that some awful recruitment in the summer. However where he has got lucky is in the loan signings, particularly with Chelsea’s Viveash connection and in fairness to him for snapping up Thomas after the pre-season game when Lampard liked our style and he promised him game time.
The other master-stroke could be in bringing Meyler to play L1 – ultimately that could save his job in the short term as if he can get up to match fitness, he’ll not only be an upgrade on an ageing Doyle, but really begin dictate games at this level. It should only be a stay of execution, but I'd guess he'll at least get the summer window to reshape again, assuming of course that we do actually stay up.

some good points and some things I disagree with but why, and your by no means the only one who says this, did 'we get lucky' with McNulty yet Chaplin was bad recruitment?
Surely Robins is either responsible for both or neither?

Yeah, low points, but we were promoted, so those low points were far exceeded by the high points.
Ii think our season (and play) turned with the introduction of Bayliss. Brought a new dimension.
If we had, had him earlier we might have been a lot more comfortable.

I don't think Lucky as such but lucky with a system that seemed to suit McNulty. Would it have come about if Andreu and Jones got injured and Nazon chose not to come back?

I'd say responsible for neither in terms of recruitment, but both in how they're deployed. I certainly think it's too early to say Chaplin is bad, but time will tell. The unnecessary recruitment was other strijers whilst waiting for Chaplin, Ogogo, 3 left backs, making JCH permanent and too much unnecessary change (imo of course). There is no exact science when bringing in any new player - always a bit of a gamble, some work some don't. We were lucky last season, sneaking in to the last spot. In some ways you could even argue it was lucky JJ got injured - I didn't think so at the time, but clearly wasn't playing to MM's strengths and having Max alongside him helped that massively. Similarly this season not having Max has been unlucky for Chaplin/Hiwula who would've got a lot more chances next to him.

We really haven't seen it unless it's been forced.
He changes the players a lot but doesn't really want to budge in the system / setup. That's why we have seen players (mainly strikers) play in about 3 positions in one game so that it doesn't alter the system.

Yes, just like Man City get lucky with Aguero, United / Real / Juve get lucky with Ronaldo, Barca lucky with Messi.
3 wins in 17 in League one with a reasonable budget, players just look nervous at times and lacking confidence. The club has bigger priorities right now than the manager but it has generally been pathetic since October. Robins has brought in some bang average players and wasted money without doubt and his system is just boring to watch...........I'd be happy with new owners and a new gaffer 2019-2020 !

Boring to watch? We've played some great football at times and created more chances than any other team in the league.
Failure to convert those chances is frustrating and may prove costly if we get sucked in to a relegation battle but I don't think you can say it's been boring, not for a lot of the time anyway.

The difference being they are dining at the very top table and for every Aguero there is a Santa-Cruz or Jo or Robinho (I'm sure many other that I can't recall) - the difference being they can afford to write off bad signings providing they find good ones too. We need to be 100% certain and it's not that easy, especially if you're not offering huge salaries etc.
Also different pressures - the managers at those clubs also lose their jobs despite much greater success than a L2 play off victory.

Yeah, I really don't get the boring tag. It has been at times last season but... we're pretty progressive atm, and there's a lot more than thud and blunder. If anything, we're trying to over-pass it.

The answer after considering all of this is, no.
We play a really good brand of Football, we are only a decent finisher away from smashing most of the teams in this league all over the place.
Take Baka's two chances on Saturday as an example, he should've buried them both, not least to say the other nineteen chances on goal that we had - something that has been a story of our season.
We've been blessed with several good goal scorers in the past ten years, McGoldrick, Wilson, Clarke, Armstrong & McNulty, all we need is to find the missing piece to our jigsaw and we will be right up there.
I'd give MR until next season, if he can't bring a proven goal scorer at the beginning of next season and challenge next year then it really will be time to part ways..
People should also remember we are frustrated because we can see the potential in the team and that it should be right up there challenging, that said those same people would have been a top half finish this season and build a basis for next season, panic not all - KTF.
