Sorry but that's a fucking terrible deal. Another player signed in the summer gone. I wonder who will play upper front on his own on Saturday now?

Daft question it will probably be Chaplin.

I am not unhappy. Too much of a hit and a miss.

We still have .....

Chaplin
Bakayoko
Hiwula
Enobakhare
Biamou
Ponticelli

Whilst we all wanted a striker who can score. I feel half the problem is having too many strikers who get 60 mins to score and if they don't they're out. Baka, hiwula, cc, ponti are our players and with jch going it allows more consistency for them to play.

JCH is no loss. He was a dream, cov lad coming home, started like a house on fire but turns it on for 1 in 9 games and even then he wasn't reliable

Apart from he is from Leicester.

He’s no great loss, not consistent and good enough for this level

The story with JCH was that we signed him at 16 after playing Sunday league - and it's really showed. He's got all the physical traits but it's clear he's lacking in finishing and movement, something that would've helped with more time in a proper academy getting real coaching.

Thought it was a good days business. Three out who shouldn’t or couldn’t make the team.
And two in who should.
Yep. We need to start bringing in better quality players, that can perform consistently.
I’m pretty sure we wouldn’t have signed JCH unless we had to as part of his loan deal, and that he wouldn’t have played if Biamou had remained fit.

I think the same, the permanent agreement had already been agreed with JCH. It was evident early in the season that JCH was not going to feature that often, when he couldn't even get in the match day squad, he only came back in when Biamou was injured. He had 2-3 really good games, but then faded.

As our strikers go, hes had more good games than anybody else has by a distance.

He had a great game at Wycombe away, mind you id be questioning why Chaplin gets more game time.

Just look at tge ratings every week. I didtnt see him leaving. But baka is fit now and Ppnticelli be fit soon.

He along with Chaplin has also been given more of a chance up front. He is going to have more good games as a striker even nobody else is playing there.

If we end up neither promoted not relegated, I think it leaves us in a better position for sorting out the squad in the summer. Getting rid of disaffected players, those not playing regularly, should lead to a better atmosphere around the camp plus less tinkering with the team. Happy (unless we go down!!!)

One of the things we do miss is his defensive capabilities. Let’s hope the rest can step up and win headers and not be pushed around

JCH missed some very good chqnces, one pn one come to mind. Vs Portsmouth, vs Walsall away to put game to bed come to mind.

On his day could be unbelievable handfull ala Sunderland at home.

Think overall a good bit of business, got rid of dead wood and got in players who look more experienced, admittedly only on loan, like someone else said above, leaves us able to consolidate and improve the team in the summer (assuming we stay up and I think we will) .... only surprise is that we haven't brought in another striker ... genuinely thought we would, unless he feels Ponti is ready to step up, as obviously Chaplin needs help ... ?

From the Rovers site.
Come on who is it that’s been so cruel ?

A mate of mine who’s a Coventry fan reckons he’s very good and is appalled they’ve let him go. I know it’s not much to go off but it’s given me a bit of encouragement.

Yeah ... but don't really rate them as strikers if honest ... but take your point ... maybe Baka ... but imho we really needed to bring someone in for the front end ... but hope to be proved wrong and one of our existing may come good ... !

Probably somebody who is fuming and thinks he is the first name on the teamsheet.

There's a difference between not having them and not rating them.

We spent a decent wedge on strikers in the summer.
