I haven't long watched the second one.
I thought Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey were so good in the first there's no way the second would be able to touch it so didn't bother for a long time but to be fair it was pretty good though the first was outstanding.

Woody Harrelson in the second episode got his hands around the front porch of a very sexy little minx if i remember correctly - i had to view it twice Fnarrrr !

Luther was great, managed to get through it all yesterday. Apparently a film is in the pipeline, will be interesting to see how they follow on from that ending though. I was always a fan of crazy Alice, one of the best tv villains of recent times!

It was fun but ridiculous as ever. Once the serial killer escaped in the ambulance his face would have been circulated everywhere, yet he can casually walk about as himself in the high street without a care, and then on the street where he murdered two people originally where you'd expect people to be on edge, he can not only smash someone's face in at the door but Alice can shoot someone and not so much as the peep of a curtain. Congestion charge my arse, there are clearly only about a dozen people in London.

Must be the most overrated programme on telly.
Ridiculous script and plot line and the most predictable ending ever.
Villain runs into building site and falls over edge and hero grabs her wrist but she falls.
Thought it was Luther meets the terminator.
Idris Elba is going backwards in this dross, he needs to bail out or grab the script writers by the throat!!

There is nothing in that post I can disagree with but I still like it!

Yep.

It's the same with Line of Duty. You have to suspend your disbelief.

Loads of detective/murder shows that are the same. Marcella with Anna Friel was ridiculous.

I could name loads. If the show is exciting enough you just put it to the back of your mind and go with the flow.

The whole concept of Alice is bonkers beyond belief.

Line of Duty is one of the daftest shows out there, but still an excellent watch.

The weird thing is there are shows where I can't suspend the belief and have given up on watching them.
Don't know what it is that allows me to do it for some shows but not others.

I think it's the characters that draw you in as much as anything, Luther is a character i can believe in even if the situations he finds himself in are daft. With the netflix show YOU i couldn't take to the main character so that spoiled the whole thing for me

Bang on that, Spider.

You are right about the main male character. Hard to accept him. I stuck with it though. Be interesting to see how much the dynamics would have changed with a different actor at the helm.

I actually managed to watch all the back episodes on I Player - rare feat for me.

It’s a right old laugh. I’ll probably get withdrawal symptoms tonight.
