Don't think he was ever going to break through to our first team and he did well on loan there.

Hadn't realised he was still with us. Good luck lad.

Wasn't he the one who scored a worldy on loan earlier this season? I thought he was getting a fair few goals and assists and was quite highly rated

Surprised to see this come up tonight given the wide issues we have and reports on he’s been doing ok out at a tough level

Clearly we’ve decided to thin the numbers of fringe youth players who MR don’t think will make the step up.
*no pun intended.

Ha what are they saying? I doubt they even knew Finn existed.
SISU selling our best assets, Robins didn’t make this decision, he has no say in any of the transfers.... the usual deluded stuff

Idiots of Facebook page complaining about SISU ‘cashing in’ like they have done with Maddison and Thomas! What planet are some people on? Hatred towards our owners sometimes stops people’s rational thinking at times

They obviously think Hereford are minted, and paid in excess of £1M lol.

He looked handy at Sutton a year or so ago.

Good effort by whoever negotiated the deal if they've got Hereford to part with some money.

We've a few 'one for the future' players in the last couple of seasons plus the ones coming through the academy, seems we might have too many fringe players and need to clear the ones Robins doesn't think will step up out to make some room.

I don't think Kyle will be the last to move on in this window, they're clearing out to make way for MM

Shame but if he's not going to be good enough then best to move on, take a small fee and wish him well.

Do wonder if bouwe bosma is next

I wonder if this is the kind of ‘wheeling dealing’ Robins is on about. I can’t imagine we’d have gotten anything more than £100k but it’s still money in the kitty*.

* for Joy’s handbag fund...

Good luck to the lad in his career. David Pipe playing for Newport against Leicester is an example. From our youth system way back when, lower divisions but a career after all.

Finn... Camwell...

Reece Ford been on loan at Mickleover and don't think he's figured much. Not a glowing recommendation for him

I think we have to appreciate that we will have 1 in 5 players who could ‘make it’. We hav3 had a good run lately with talent

Was thinking more 5k at best from Hereford or equivalent to pay up his current deal.

I was hoping for about 50k if I’m honest, but have no idea what kind of cash they’ve got to spend!

Given they are National League North id be very surprised if it’s anything near half that figure.

We need to clear the decks with players who are not in the plans so my thoughts are it’s the equivalent to paying up the players contract to free them.

The likelihood is that you’re right then! I thought Hereford were in the National League!

No, Hereford United were expelled from the National League in 2014 if memory serves me right and wound up as a club.

The Hereford F.C. we hear of now are a phoenix club coming back up the pyramid playing at Edgar Street still.

Hereford FC have tweeted today that there was no fee involved, but that CCFC will receive a percentage of any sale if he moves on in the next 18 months. Refreshingly open and candid from a football club instead of the usual "undisclosed fee" bollocks we get from City.

Steve's right: Hereford United were expelled from the Conference in June 2014 due to financial irregularities (and huge debt), then wound up in December 2014. They reformed as Hereford FC ("Forever United") in 2015, and were admitted to the Midland Football League Premier. They then proceeded to rip up the Midland Premier, Southern League Div One South & West, and the Southern League Premier, being promoted as runaway champions in three successive years. They're now struggling a bit (aka consolidating/found their level) in National League North (same as Nuneaton and Leamington), but still one of the biggest clubs in that league. They regularly get home gates of 3000, and have taken huge away followings since they reformed.
The crucial thing to note is that they have retained a great relationship with the council, who allowed them to continue using their Edgar Street home.
