The recent announcements about the future of our beloved club ( or lack of future) seems to have had an affect on the morale of our players and Mangement looking at our recent results - Something is not quite right and no matter what is said about tactics etc the uncertainty will have questions been asked in the changing and even around the players family dinner table - people such as Robins must be demanding some answers as the clock is ticking fast

We won 5 in a row with the same news in the public domain

Confidence or lack of on players is draining away rapidly, key summer signings yet to hit form from previous injuries added with a change in system which puts square pegs in round holes gives you a better indication to what’s so wrong and was still evident in our lucky run.

Has it bollocks. We were in a similar position last season until a last minute deal was foubd and we were promoted and had a great cup run.

I've seen this view being pushed in a few places. Utter nonsense.

Yeah, it's a nonsense for sure.

What's changed from last year? Last year it was the very same boat, with us threatened to be kicked out.

We got promoted.

As the great wordsmith Clinton O’Morrison once said “Its Cov innit” - any player that expects to come to Cov and for there not to be some sort of negativity going on In the background certainly hasn’t done their research!

absolutely no more details than that sadly basically there has been a row and there is a split in the camp,on yesterdays performance its more than believable. The person who told me does know some ex and i stress ex players well . On the other side i left Valley parade a few weeks ago convinced we had the most united looking squad we have had for years so i am surprised but based on recent performances it could well be true

You can’t blame SISU everytime our team under performs, that purely lies at the foot of the players, manager and coaching team.

What has changed since last year is that in 3 weeks time ANDREU, GRIMMER ,DOYLE,WILLS ,DAVIS ,BURGE, O BRIEN , CAMWELL, FORD , HICKMAN, THOMPSON and a few others as well can all start looking for a new club , there has been no news of new contracts either offered or rejected meaning they could all go for nothing

I can certainly imagine agents / players who we might target in January asking if there's going to be a club to play for next season but I don't think it majorly impacts anyone currently here. Sure they hear the same as us but I can't see it impacting what we see from them on the pitch.

In which case they will be wanting to show potential new teams how good they are so will be putting in more effort and playing better than usual.

Results have been poor. With the exception of yesterday, performances have been okay.
I did thing it was odd that Robins, when questioned about a new contract for Burge at the Leamington Warwick meeting was very laid back. The club haven’t approached Burge. Burge hasn’t approached the club. If he leaves the club at the end of the season Robins would shake his hand, say thank you very much and move on to a new keeper. Considering that the club and several managers have stuck by Burge as he was developing and that by fairly common consensus he is now a reliable goalkeeper, it seems odd that more effort isn’t going into a new contract. Is that because of uncertainty of where, if anywhere, we will be playing?

When you look at that list we are going to be making exciting signings for the under 23’s again as not many of them are threatening the first team,I thought Willis signed an extension? I would only bother trying to keep Willis, Grimmer and Davis on that list. As we have started to collect left backs Camwell must be struggling.

No news of contracts doesn't mean they are not negotiating contracts.

More often than not the first we hear about it all is when the club announce someone has actually signed a new contract.

There were rumours Robins and Burge had had a bust up, start of the season.

When you start losing, everybody starts trying to dissect things. Even at Sunday league level after a defeat, I used to come off the pitch and think - why does he take the free kicks? How come the manager keeps picking him? At this level you can probably magnify that 100 fold. As somebody said earlier, even on this current run, only a couple of performances have been poor (imo) - Fleetwood and Luton. As for bust ups - who knows. However, Doyle who seemed/seems to be the cement both on and off the pitch may have been unsettled by being dropped. You would hope, though, that he is savvy enough to know that at some point he would be dropped and his role in the team/club would change (though it might take him a time to get his head round that).

Even when we were winning there were plenty of negatives, then they continued through and if they were mentioned it was "we have just won games on the bounce".

Starting to look clueless, no real plan or threat going forward.

I'm sure I just read the exact same line on a man utd forum, at least we didn't spend billions to be so bad right now.

They cannot just look for a new club and neither can they agree any pre contract terms for the 19/20 season. CCFC do not even need to say if they are offering terms till May.

It’s nice to do deals soon but deals are only announced when agreed, never when a player rejects new terms. So maybe the prized assets in Willis and Burge have offers on the table but are yet to pick up the pen as for the first time in their careers they have the freedom to move this summer for nothing.

Camwell, Ford Hickman and Thompson won’t be going anywhere for free anyway unless we don’t offer terms
