how many people who use this site go to City & Wasps games? what are your opinions?
Not sure if it’s an insult, I’ll say this JH was Unwell for a few years before passed away, had he been his old self I’m certain he would have been at the fore front of any protests big time against Northampton and other things so the name “Jimmy Hill Way” is perhaps appropriate

Can't see him telling people to boycott their football club or go and watch a different team he was a director of instead.

I've thought for some time that the views expressed on this site are not closely aligned with those of the majority of the fan base.
Compare the graphic of Cov Tel survey (390 responses) below with the poll above. It shows a marked difference.
Whether that is due to better knowledge of people who post on this site or misplaced optimism I can't say, but there is definitely an air of gloom out there.
All SISU have to do is stop the legals and the problem goes away, but they won't and I don't understand why, Where is the upside to their decision?

Can't see how this ends happily. The EFL have made it clear we can only play in Coventry.As most sane people have known for years,the Ricoh is the only credible option,there is nowhere else.
Past performance suggests there is no way SISU will back down, regardless of the consequences..Wasps stated a year ago,their viewpoint over any future deal. Again for them to backdown would involve a serious loss of face and credibility.
If our fans were going to protest about Wasps being here they would have surely done that when they moved here,that ship has sailed.
The EFL have no power or influence over Wasps,and SISU can hardly threaten Wasps anymore than they are already doing. Unfortunately Wasps don't have to do anything they can just sit tight, and I expect the rest of football is both bored and confused by this never ending saga.

If Wasps point blank refuse to negotiate with us that totally moved the goalposts and we can of course protest.
No ship sailed there. That would be a total change of direction. They dealt with us last year with a legal battle ongoing, so if this year they say no deal that means a shift in position.
If Wasps say no deal we should totally and significantly protest and I do feel we would, because that could well be the end of Coventry City.

Except that is exactly what Wasps have said and indeed what they have made crystal clear months ago.They could not have been clearer and indeed they have repeated that position many times.
Protest by doing what, boycotting Wasps games? Most Coventry City don't go anywhere near Wasps games and rightly so. I can't imagine what any fan can do legally,that will force a change of mind by Wasps.

They made it crystal clear last year too. They said exactly the same thing about Sisu having to drop the court cases.
Of course we don't go to Wasps games.
We therefore encourage those that do go to boycott games and also encourage then to switch to Cov rugby.
We should already be doing it anyway, but a real campaign to divert people away from Wasps and on to Cov.

I think we need to hit wasps in the pocket, stop buying overpriced shit in the ground I know the football club get a cut, also an attack on anybody who sponsors them by the refusing to buy their goods this might not matter to jlr but small local companies will suffer and hopefully move away from them

Otis I still think CCC too should be approached, when signing the sales contract with Wasps they did mention the protection of both CCFC and CRFC, they now say they only meant the term of our then rental agreement so why mention us in the same breath as the rugby club who are not subject to a 4 year contract. This surely points out they have clearly moved the goalposts

It still needs to be confirmed what it actually meant for CCFC. They said one thing at the time that was pretty clear, they have now gone back on it to say "no it was just 4 years, blame SISU".
What happens if SISU leave tomorrow? Is there any protection in place for the football club or are we still at the mercy of others?
Somebody like the Trust could easily question them on it, doesn't have to be shouty or name calling. Just asking them to clarify what it means for the club and their future, even beyond SISU.

Agree completely Nick, yet I still think there's milage in questioning why we and CCRC were spoken of in the same clause yet the rugby club are not subject to this 4 year thing that the council are using to body swerve the original meaning

Of course it is just to get out of explaining it. It's pretty much what other parties have done for years to just make it all about SISU. We know that SISU are massive bellends, it doesn't mean others can't be as well.
Time after time they can say things which turn out to be nonsense because they know they won't ever be questioned.
