I love Doyle but that's twice in recent weeks he's cost us a goal with his poor passing and his performance last week was poor.
Let's not tarnish his legacy MR, time to look at changing it in centre mid.
Definitely.
I'd still like to have someone as experienced as Doyle on the bench. Great to bring him in on when you need a bit of leadership and tenacity in the final stages.
Hope Robins has the balls to make the change...

You couldn't see how Chaplin dropped off into the gap and got us on the ball, or how he collected two balls from corners and set up Thomas on the counter? Did you watch the match?

Of course I watched the match otherwise I wouldn't have an opinion.

If you read very, very carefully I said it was mostly because he was being crowded out. He wasn't at his best. He did some good things, every player did, but they just took him out the game where it counted. He needs time, that's all.

Now stop overreacting when someone has a different opinion.

MR “Jones caught his studs and felt a crunch in his knee that spooked him. He was shaken up but in better spirits than perhaps he expected”

Fair enough it was a silly comment, apologies

You are blind to the level we are at. He is learning the game and will grow and make chances will be a big player this season
But I'm judging based on tonight and not in the future?

We could have won if he passed either side instead of limp shots

Just as costly as doyle

Still only 12 months or so since his ACL injury hopefully this is just a tweek but it won’t be until the New Year before we see him anyway near full fitness

Absolute mental game.

Peterborough hitting straight balls down middle all game. Surprised how one dimensional they are.

We've got lots of good link players but no one who can seemingly strike a ball.

Recognised the goalie from Accrington, he did the same there. Strange kicking technique

Only jch seems to be able to put his foot through it cleanly

I thought he was ok. Like Thomas, his decision making was poor at times, but he does look a threat. Thought Doyle was ok today too apart from the last minute error (and his set pieces).

I think JCH is a good target man but he isn't a goalscorer, he takes up odd positions and doesn't seem to bust a gut to get into the box after he's laid the ball off. I would stick with him though

I thought they were really poor yet still they stil they sit third. Just goes to show that this league is there for the taking for any team that can display a bit of quality and consistency.
We're capable, Just need to a really do it.

Yes.

And it all kicked off afterwards. Not nice at all. Was well in the mix of it.

Didn't even really see our goal.

Block 20? What started it? I saw another lad restrain him, pin him down, told him to calm and he’d get off him he did and he kicked off again! I managed to get past and out and he was still kicking off on the stairway.

Think it might be time to give Bakayoko a run, he might be the answer then again he might not, but we need goals from a centre forward and JCH is not doing that. Give him until Xmas see how he does, he might surprise us.

Our back two struggled with those long punts up all night, I would assume a lot of clubs have done the same

JCH can hit the ball hard no doubt. Just not convinced he has any accuracy with it. Played well holding up the ball mind.

Bakayoko averages a goal every 10 games at this level

Don't really see where a struggle was for the centre backs - we struggled in dealing with second balls in the midfield area, especially out wide. As a back 4 coming against the opposition I couldn't have asked for an easier night, Grimmer looked solid. Toney looked a decent striker and a good all rounder and should've buried two chances but other than that they posed no threat really.

JCH is to me one of the best strikers in the league to help a team out, he isn't a goal scorer and the quicker fans realise that the quicker they'll see what he does for us. He does so much dirty work for a partner it goes so unnoticed. The ground he covers, the balls he brings down, the attempted passes (sometimes poor) to bring others in to play, the fouls he wins to allow the team back up the pitch. The gap between him and the rest of the team needs to be closed for us to strengthen, i was very surprised Chaplin was MOTOM, as I felt a lot of play broke down with his decision making, but energy was there for a full 90 tonight.

To me, one of Bayliss' most encouraging performances, I've been critical of him in the past in him not wanting to take a shot on and want to try and play a through ball, if he can start threatening keepers he's going to open up his game massively and make defenders second guess.

I'm surprised we don't swap our wingers more often and get fullbacks thinking, 'cause currently they want to come in side and lack little on the outside other than a full back overlap.

There's a lot of talent in that squad and a lot of potential, if we can keep grinding out results when not particularly playing to our best we'll go a long way

Yeah thats the annoying bit. He can bring the ball out of the air, holds it up and lays it off but then doesn't look for the return which Bakayoko seems to. He just can't do the ball out the air strength bit.

Don’t think Chaplin is a good enough replacement for McNulty. I know he grabbed the goal at the end but he spent most of the game that far back he was playing in doyles position.

As for Doyle he’s constantly making mistakes/ shite at taking corners so he can’t be many more mistakes off being dropped.

Also brown and hiwula are 100% competing with corbyn and McDonnell as the worst pairing to lead the left.
