Bloody hell. Are Faggot and Pea Batches still a thing in Cov? Jesus they are like heaven..

Sure there was a place at the top of Gosford street that used to do them real nice. Also remwmber as a kid being in the Cox Street WMC as a kid and them having them at half time in the bingo!
Wasn't that place on Gosford Street called the batch hatch or something?

You were probably supposed to take the foil off.

The mother of a bloke I used to work with roasted a chicken but forgot to take it out of the plastic wrapping before putting it in the oven.

Ha. If you don't get one, let me know and if I see one out and about I don't mind putting one in the post to you!
Will do....and thats a really nice gesture. when I'm up there I spend half of my life loitering around up Lark lane so I just need to get my backside up town and pick one up.

My dad put a pizza in the oven with the polystyrene (or whatever it was) base still attached.

He just cooked up a plasticky goo.

He also once put a pizza under the grill. Cooked it for 5 mins, then flipped it over to do the other side and all the toppings fell off.

sausage in a batch is a sausage batch, sausage in a finger roll is a hotdog.
this evening I will be enjoying a chilli & leek variety of sausage (purchased from the local butchers) within bread slices and accompanied by fried egg and tom sauce....the humble sausage and egg sandwich

Happy sausage week one and all

I tried the 'Happy Sausage Week' notion on my wife and she was having none of it.

Back on track Steve Crow in Kenilworth does a cracking sausage. Wild boar and his gold medal sausages are great. He does hot food so I often nip over for a sausage batch.

the problem is when you work down south
Ask for a Sausage roll, and you don't know what you will end up with

but to confirm
Any 1 portion breaded item is a batch whatever shape - the next size up from a batch is a loaf
as to

Rolls/ Barms/ Bread cakes/Baps it's just wrong

As for crowhill butchers = sorry - dont like the way you have to buy 3kg to get the proper price

I’m alright that covers breakfast, I would pay the extra not to go and be patronised or ignored in Frank Parker’s
