Was such a good 1sr half. Teams will see this and start to come out us from min 1. We will need to learn to impose our gsme when opposition don't allow us too.

October still so plenty of time for it to all come together.

Confidence will help

First half Donny were all over the place and it should have been 3 or 4, but 2 well taken goals and I thought it'd be relatively comfortable second half. Not so as Robins decides to camp in our half and absorb pressure. At times it was almost like we were willing them to score which they did when given acres of space in the box. How we held on I don't quite know but thankfully so and hopefully Robins has learnt his lesson from a series of close shaves at the death.

But we were efficient at absorbing the pressure and with true grit and character beat a very good team.

We won!

Well done to all, we need to take a deep breath and give credit to Doncaster who went for it. They deserved a draw, got nothing and I am delighted with that.
We have to remember there are two teams out there and they had a go, they were on the front foot yet we saw the game out.
Fans look for the perfect game and this wasn't it.

Perfection not quite but we invited all the pressure onto ourselves, needlessly so.

What stood out was how willing the players were to close men down and put bodies on the line. We got away with it this week but better sides will take their chances. Not complaining at the win but it was a poor decision to try and park the bus.

Thought we were pretty lucky tbh, and I think that's the first time I've said that this season except Charlton, lol

5 league wins in a row for first time in 20 years! I don't give a flying fuck how we won but we are winning games!

When we were drawing and needed goals in the last few mins to win, we have produced the goods in at least 3-4 matches this season and when we are winning and needed solid defensive effort to preserve the 3 points, we are doing that too! Credit to Robins.

Now let's avenge that awful 3-0 loss to Accrington last season by showing them we are the team to be feared this season. 6 wins bring it on!!

I accept what you’re are saying. Robins said that we have some tired or ill players due to a gruelling week.

I know we were hanging on but parking the bus to stifle a vibrant determined opposition won us 3 points - 5 wins on the bounce for the first time in 20 years.

I don’t care if a bloody great double decker is wedged between our posts if it gives us a chance of back to back promotions.

Take nothing away from the first half either by the way, it was excellent and only missed more clinical finishing. At 2-0 though we should have been a bit more ambitious, they were very ropey at the back and there for the taking.

As far as I remember we lost twice between the start of that run and the end of the season, lot of draws in the last few games. Villa beat us at home and somebody else beat us

Yep 1 defeat in 20 during regular time in the run from the Man U win in December to the end of the season. Only defeat was the Villa game. Such a shame we didn't turn a few of those draws into wins-I wouldn't mind seeing the table for that season under 2 points for a win!: Coventry City match record: 1998

Fair enough mate. It’s never been that easy watching us.

But I’m really chuffed with my team and Mark Robins. He seems a great fit for our club.

It definitely feels like the fans are all behind the team at least. When they scored the singing just carried on. Brown's confidence will have been done the world of good especially.

Settle down girls.

We won't be able to outplayed other teams for 90 minutes. They made changes and went for it in the second half. They had plenty of chances but not many on target. Yes mistakes were made. But that is why they are playing in division 3.

Enjoy the rest of the evening. 5 wins on the trot. And take it easy on Brown. He might not have had a good game. But that goal he stopped right at the end gave us the win. He stayed switched on until the final whistle. I wish all our players could do the same.

The block in the last minute was definitely brown, great block, makes up for a few of the scary things he did throughout the game, for example diving in again etc.
We definitely should have finished the game off in the first half because we totally dominated them. As soon as we came out in the second half it seemed that everyone was suddenly knackered and were standing off. We were playing two banks of 4 for most of the game but after half time we just seemed to sit deep and were allowing Doncaster’s players down the wings.
I still think we deserved to win the game and our fighting spirit allowed us to hold on for the win in the second half. If we hadn’t won 4 games in a row before this we probably wouldn’t have got the 3 points.
All in all I’m absolutely buzzing with the 3 points and as long as we keep getting them it doesn’t matter how!

First half was great and a really confident upbeat atmosphere. Second half we had to expect Doncaster to push us, but we seemed to struggle with an “out” ball. Just kept losing possession. Shame Robbins feels he has to sub Bayliss as he can run with it. Maybe knackered?

Anyway great result. Let’s get revenge on Accrington now.

That second half wasn't great. But we fought til the game was won. Its a good sign we can win a game like that after being under sustained pressure for most of the 2nd half.

I think we proved we are now a proper League One side who should be looking up to the play-off places and not down to mid-table mediocrity or worse. We beat a pretty decent, well organised, but ultimately toothless League One side with two very smartly taken goals. They might feel hard done by, but they didn't create enough to deserve more. In the 2nd half we sat far too deep with no out ball, and got what we deserved: a nervous last 15 minutes. But the tactic - or whatever it was that was going on - worked. MOTM: their keeper for his first half performance.

Yeh that’s true, I was so relieved we got the 3 points I forgot about his saves in the first half

Good three points - squeaky second half - like pinball in the last 15 - I’m sure our manager will learn something - ref was good except for the 8 minute extra time - considering they are the dirtiest team in the league the trainers were not on once - who’s for sixup
