Weird one. I'd assume we'd keep him for a few months then loan to a conf/conf north or south team not straight back where he came from. Unless he's a) homesick or b) not looked as good as we hoped

He signed for us nearly 2 months ago though.

Maybe he was expecting first team football or something.
I doubt that, in his interview for the offal he sounded as surprised as anyone that we had signed him. I'm sure I read he was at Lewes on non contract terms and that we didn't pay a fee so it's no loss regardless.

If he owned a house down there then moves take time so I still think it's plausible as a way of keeping him sharp while he gets his life admin sorted.

I doubt it's a case of 'not being as good as people initially thought', not after two months. He'd have to be awful if that were the case and we certainly wouldn't have been as bold to put him on a 2yr contract with the option of a further year. Mistakes can be made in football but that would be a shocker. It could've been part of the deal as maybe we just wanted him with us for pre-season so he could get a feel for the standard, or like posters are mentioning, he's sorting personal matters.

Quotes from their manager on the move. 'Had a tough pre season and ready to come back and fire us up the league. Thanks to Coventry for letting this happen' Well, something along those lines

Does anybody else read that as he found it a step-up too far

Bosma was an unused sub last night as Lewes drew 1-1 away at Tonbridge Angels.

I echo the posts above, on the face of it there’s something particularly odd about his signing. The player himself said he was surprised, people who watch Lewes were surprised and said he wasn’t even in their top 3 best players last season and now he’s back on loan at the club he came from

I don’t think it’s anything like the Ali Dia one - he must have some ability as he scored a few goals for Lewes last season and they’re in the eighth tier

It’s just odd he’s 22 and got no minutes at all for the first team in pre season then he’s back at where he came from

That's probably because he is shit like most of the other players we signed in the summer.Someone thought these player's were better than the ones we had.

He was living with a friend of a friend in Leamington until he got a house sorted in August. I went with the family he’s staying with to the game against Scunthorpe. They were saying he left early that morning to go get measured up in a cov suit, not that says too much but it didn’t sound like there were any rumours of him going out on loan. I wanna know where he parks for match day though, as he’d beat us back to their house after the game!

Hopefully it's just a routine month loan and then comes back in the 23s. Concerning if not even though its a cheap mistake, it's still a mistake

He's off again...

Now been shipped off to Southport - same league as Leamington and Nuneaton I believe.

He is replacing my nephew at Southport as he has gone to Stockport on loan today, the Southport manager wants big giants not ball players they are along ball team

Good move he’s definitely one for the future and needs to be playing. Don’t know what the standard is like at Southport. Bosma is a big unit, let’s be honest it’s fingers crossed for him, if he comes off he’ll be a real asset I think.

I think there's something not quite right between Badlan and Robins. Robins spoke about the previous guy quite a bit in positive terms, where as nothing has really been said about Badlan. Some of the signings made have been a little odd since he arrived, so I'm wondering if the relationship has had a bumpy start.
