Lot of talk & some people seem a bit confuddled about the changes, this might help, next years prices...

I can't find an up to date zone layout, can only assume it is the same as this blurry example I found.

Anyone who sees their support of CCFC being price elastic is quite frankly not a real fan and I'd rather not be associated with them.

This is quite frankly a ridiculous statement.
You may be in a position where you can afford to go to the football regardless of the price, others are not so fortunate. What you are saying here is that you wouldn't want to be associated with people that are in a poorer financial situation than yourself.
Personally, I am a student, living about an 2 hour train journey from Coventry. Is the fact that I can't afford to buy a season ticket and get a return train ticket that costs about 30 quid a go every Saturday a crime? I go to as many games as I can afford, the last of which was Forest away, but according to your I am not a true fan. Pathetic.

I apologise for you not wanting to associate yourself with me, but I'd rather not be associated with such a single minded and ignorant individual thanks.

Thanks Jack Griffin - The online price I was presented with didn't take into account the JSB membership I'd also be purchasing for my son. Looks like the overall price for both me and my son has been reduced by £40 :).

There seems to be a lot of people missing the point with the season ticket pricing. The increase in Adult tickets is only a 4.5% increase. Like all things costs go up, and a 4.5% rise in ticket prices for Adults is not unrealistic. I've seen people on Twitter who I am sure don't have kids complaining about the price of their season ticket already.

The only people who have been penalised here are the parents and the Coventry City fans of tomorrow. If the rumours are true, the cost for a child to attend the games for a season has risen by almost 50%. And of course, it won't be the child bearing that cost but the parent. But let's again remain realistic, the cost still averages out at a cost of £6 per match. Which is reasonable, especially when you can pay on a monthly direct debit.

So I have absolutely no sympathy for any non-parent complaining about the prices. Supporting your football club is a price in-elastic ritual (for those who don't know what this means, it basically means price is not an issue). It does not matter what league we are in we pay to watch CCFC and not the standard of football. Anyone who sees their support of CCFC being price elastic is quite frankly not a real fan and I'd rather not be associated with them.

Some people will use any excuse to make them feel a victim of the SISU regime!

My god i read some shit before, but this takes the biscuit.
What he's saying is, if you've lost your job, or you don't have a job, you must before you put food on the table and feed the family, or pay the gas and electric etc, you must pay for your season ticket, or if you go weekly the match ticket. Just forget about your family, business and everything else, just remember your not a true fan if you don't put Cov in front of the health and well being of your family.
Does this person live in the real world.

I hate this "your not a true fan like me" attitude, it makes my blood boil.

The oldies on here like me,and students and jobless do not have to justify ourselves if we can't go to every game.

My family comes first full stop, but if anyone accuse's me of not being a true fan, i want them to do it to my face.
Fecking fourty years i supported this rabble, and all i've got back is one day in 87, I'm not complaining but its true. Cov will always be my second love,as it should be, but i'll always support them, but they dont come near to the love of my family, but in some peoples eyes on here i'm not a true fan so i'll have to live with it.
It does make you think why we have such a small core of support, when people like this poster slags off anyone who don't go to every game.

So if we go down we have to pay more money (doesnt matter how much) to watch coventry in a lower league having sold or released the better players and if they are replaced it will be by players that are not as good ? makes no sense to me ... if we got promoted to prem yes id understand but not in the position we are in !

For some reason I cant view last seasons purchase, it does however show the previous last 2 seasons and our season tickets this year are still not as expensive as they were 2 years ago.

I am sure I will renew. The increase is minuscule and still significantly less than many clubs in league one anyway.

People who are bailing out through ownership issues baffles me. I thought the definition of a fan was someone who supports especially in times pf adversity.

I take it that students have to pay the full adult price? I'm currently studying at Cov University and used to follow my local team from home (Crusaders FC), home and away every weekend. Watching games on the tv just doesn't compare to attending matches on a regular basis although doubt I'll be able to afford a season ticket at those prices. Does the club offer any sort of discounts for students?

Ok cheers mate, going to look into it :)

Why shouldn't students pay full price?

Probably because they have little or no money, I myself get about £4000 in a student loan and £3000 of that goes to rent/bills/food etc...
An adult would be getting more money that through job seekers or employment.
