Can’t see anything in that at all.
According to MR last night Baylis wants to sign an extended contract to stay here.

A poxy friendly at Nuneaton as part of the deal....which will prob be dominated by U23’s? I don’t think so, if it was a big deal it would be at The Ricoh.

It wouldn't as we never play friendlies at the Ricoh. It will be Derbys first team squad

I speak to a chap at work, there’s a family connection to Bayliss’s girlfriend. According to him there’s been no development yet in the Derby rumours, there was interest of a sort last January and there was interest from Leeds, both have since changed their manager.
As for Derby was reading about them there is a problem regards this ffp or is it scmp whatever they can’t just splash the cash The article was on about Frank Lampard being frustrated in his attempts to sign wishfor players at the moment

Why would Robins talk openly about the McNulty rumours and deny the Bayliss ones? He’s always been pretty upfront.

I think those Derby rumours are no better than the ones this end. Why announce a friendly first?

And why wait until July? He’s not out of contract.

he was literally standing in the new kit last night on stage.

there's no way he'll be announced as a derby player tomorrow.

Two months ago, I'd definitely have said that Bayliss would be on his way at the end of the season. A friend of mine had met him socially, and that friend asked Bayliss if he was leaving, and all he got in return was a knowing smile. Proof of nothing, but I interpreted that as meaning he was off.
However, I think the onward sale of Maddison by Norwich could be a game changer. I work with people just like the SISU folk, and trust me when that onward sale was announced and Coventry's £3-4m windfall was highlighted, there will have been significant people within the SISU structure who wouldn't be taking part in any back-slapping or smug self-congratulation. Those people would have been asking: who let this happen? In their eyes, we haven't made £3-4m here, we've lost out on £17-20m.
And the finger-pointing and recrimination would have been quite something.
The lesson learned was that selling starlets out of League Two and League One is a mug's game where you hand the lion's share of any profit to an intermediary club. Norwich in this case. And I'm sure SISU don't want to be seen as mugs. Of course, to be in a position to sell out of the Championship requires investment and risk, and that's the other side of the argument.
If Bayliss disappears this season, then we'll know who won the argument.

He was chatting happily with fans last night saying he wants to stay for longer, he also pointed out that he still has a year on his current deal. Robins also said that Bayliss wishes to sign his new deal, he spoke.openly about him and it was telling that he couldn't say the same about McNulty.

See what you are saying by losing out on £17/£20million but never in a million years would a division one player be sold for £22 million as Maddison just has been

Can't see anyone being sold unless MR wants them to be sold myself, and if anyone is sold I should imagine he has a replacement in mind if it was to happen.

And that's my point, and that's why I now think he might very well stay here this season.

Lets put an end to this pointless Derby County/Baylis deal and the pre-season friendly game bollocks!
This was arranged as a favour to both clubs to get a decent game in before the season by Frank Lampard and Adi Viveash who are good friends from their Chelsea days - end of the conspiracy theories please!

on winning promotion from league one, Oxlaide chamberlain went for 12-15m
Prices have inflated since then
so not worth that money yet , but will Sisu look forward or take the quick money

Also there will be a point where Robins may decide the money can be invested across the team to win promotion
I would guess that would be
McNulty £1m - £1,5m
Bayliss £2,5m + add ons

Hats not his point. He’s saying use the players to get us into the championship and then they become £20m players
