Immense tonight, a great save, decent kicking and just punched it rather than flapping.

He was brilliant - probably why he is so highly rated by league two managers!

Actually, to stick at it and silence any knockers is the way to the top. Well played lad.

Burge and Biamou were superb. They have both received OTT criticism this year.

Burge has been fine all season.

Yes he's made a few mistakes but we're in division 4, if he didn't make mistakes he'd be playing at a higher level.

Same here , I never rated him , but tonight he was superb , caught and punched everything , distribution was good and saved everything he could , well played lad!!!

Well played that save was a turning point

He wasn't punching earlier in the season and was flapping.

Seems like Oggy has been working with him on that. He's dropped a few easy catches this season, so nice to see him punching the ball away and looking a lot more assured as a result.

Played well over both legs. If he played better on a regular basis he would be playing higher up the pyramid. I don’t really know what people expect of a league one/two goal keeper but they rarely get much better than Burge unless they’ve just came down from the championship.

Like in the Checkatrade, he played his part in that win. That save at 2-1 was crucial!

Yes he’s had his moments, but tonight he showed he is a good keeper.......at this level!

Hate to close sounding negative but I still maintain we have to invest in the GK area when we go up.

Never thought I would say this but he was outstanding tonight. His shot stopping has never rely been in question but he commanded his area and punched threw anything that came near him.

I think most have had their moments slating Burge, probably with reason ‘but he was brilliant tonight
Looked very assured and confident, wouldn’t have looked out of place a couple of leagues above.

Shot stopping has always been his strength and his save from Stead was first class. Difference with this game though was he was more assertive in commanding his area and wasn't beaten in the air once. That shows progress which is all any of us want to see.

Nobody has denied that he makes good saves. But you also can't deny that he doesn't normally command his area, is poor at dealing with crosses and makes bad decisions on if he should go for a ball or not.

But last night was easily one of his best games. He didn't have a lot to do. But he did it well. Fair play to him.

If he could keep it up I would be happy for him to stay as our No.1

But who thinks he could?

He needs to punch more and catch less. He does that and we'll be fine.

I slated Burge a couple of weeks ago but I am big enough to say he was fantastic last night proving he can concentrate sometimes...i am still buzzing

Agreed he kept us in it last night.

To be fair, he had a great game last night. Some great saves.

But also to be fair, he cost us points in the season.

Agree with sw88, we still need to invest in the GK area next season, regardless of division.
