First of all what football club makes it impossible to buy tickets in person which in turn directly effects sales and then proceeds to say if you purchase a ticket at the turnstiles you DO NOT qualify for Wembley priority despite paying for and attending the same match as the rest of us .

Please find me a club as anal and as mind blowingly stupid as Coventry city , just one .

Shambles

That's because if you buy them on the gate it doesn't go into your account against your name.

Surely you just go to the ticket office at the ground and do it that way if it matters so you give them your details?

I you attend this match you should get Wembley priority end of story .
The reason this is happening is because should the club get to Wembley , there will be zero option again for supporters to buy in person .

It’s wrong and it’s not even defendable .
Blues and villa fans at work think it’s bizarre

It's common sense, if you buy a ticket on the turnstile they have no way of knowing who it was sold to.

If you go in the match day ticket office, do it online or over the phone it links it to your name and shows under your account.

It's not really a massive issue is it?

If there is a big walk up , which I for one am hoping for , will they get through it all by kick off ?
As long as people don't rock up ten minutes before.

Isn't the match day ticket office usually open a few hours before?

So you don’t think this has impacted the sales in any way ?
I personally do

If people want priority they have plenty of options. Get there a bit earlier, order them online, phone up. The ticket office opens at 3... Go down then.

If we get to Wembley will people want to turn up there and get tickets minutes before?

The majority of people these days are comfortable with paying for things online, You can also purchase over the phone. You can buy at the grounds ticket office from 3pm tomorrow and get "priority" but the priority will involve you having to buy online anyway. We're a league 2 club and are hardly going to employ and train 10 or so more staff to man ticket offices when demand requires.
As a side note if we were to get to Wembley I doubt Exeter or Lincoln would take more than 25k so we could probably have up to 60k if we wanted.

Didn’t know this , strange .
Maybe I’m looking too much into it.
I did see 2 elderly supporters turned away from the ticket office the other day though tbh , they basically said sod it we will watch it on TV .
I queued for a ticket for my old man who has a disability

Evo - if we get to Wembley, you'll get a ticket mate. let's see if we get through against Notts County and you think you'll struggle, pm me and I'll see if I can sort you one (but my car isn't insured to go near Tile Hill, so you may have to travel to collect it :jawdrop:) Can't have fellow fans getting stressed the day before the big match!

Have you not yet got the message, we are in FL 2 receiving minimal income streams (don’t let me go there) and don’t have the staff, budgets just don’t allow! PUSB

If you can't take someone calling you a drip in person without fighting them then you're absolute scum.
Somebody calls me a drip that’s a deep disrespect to me to my face il slap them all over the place .
I speak to people in person with the upmost respect I expect the same , you start calling people names you lose any credibility and don’t deserve to cry when shit comes your way.

That’s called reality

Fair point .
Long day at work and potentially getting laid off next week last thing I need is somebody on here completely disrespecting me for an opinion (possibly I’ll informed looking into it ) doesn’t really sit well with me, not one bit.
They only do it because they are behind a phone or laptop and can get away with it , doesn’t make it right.

Evo as Nick said its because they won't have your details if you buy on the gate. If you buy online they have the proof.

Gone are the days when you take your ticket stub to the office, and now like many clubs the ticketing system has been farmed out and that's what we are stuck with. Like anything, buying on the Internet can be easy but it can also be bloody difficult. I wouldn't say the problem is exclusive to the club.
