for once can we please meet expectations! Every time we raise expectations we fall.....badly.
Come on City, this is Royal Cheltenham that specialise in afternoon tea and some old hags. Please please just turn up and do us all proud. I cannot take this being beaten up by pub sides most weeks.

Here’s hoping.

We'll be all right Tag, we win when we are least expected and lose when we have a chance to impress a big following. Not always though son, Wembley 1987, Old Trafford 2007, Wembley 2017.....thing is we need a lucky 7 in there !!

Exactly. Problem is as a kid of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, I expect us to whoop Cheltenham, Forest Green. Stevenage and the like......with our 3rd team.
Reality is really shit,
Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be on my high horse celebrating a playoff place in division 4

On the basis that if we didn't may the playoffs I'd be depressed for a couple of days whereas if we made the playoff and lost out I'd be in a foul mood for two weeks, I find myself torn.

In any kind of positive, realistic or pessimistic mood ... I can’t actually perceive an option that involves us playing anything other than league 2 football again. ... we are simply too inconsistent ...

Really hard to say where I am right now.

I have tomorrow down as either a 2-1 defeat or a 3-2 win, with Ponticelli bagging the winner.

If we draw I will still be very optimistic, but if we lose and Mansfield win I think we will blow it.

Exactly this Otis....people have said that wanting a draw tomorrow is negative thinking, but although we all want a win, a draw leaves it in our hands, with the possibility of only needing a point against Morecambe, if Yeovil hold Mansfield - (will even secure a place if Yeovil win).

I believe that we will get in the play-offs, but too often it seems that people forget we need to get through another 3 games to actually get promoted.

But our 'win two lose one' sequence will see us in League one next season.

Win tomorrow, win Morecambe, lose first leg PO, win second and win final.

Job done.

If we get through to the play offs we’re extended the season by another two games. Not good enough this season so why put us through the pain of getting knocked out in the play offs?

Next season I believe we will be ready,

my first game was in 50s, so at least I had all of the good years. I still believe that has long as we have our present owners,
staying in the top end of 4th div. suits them fine, no extra money to find for 3rd div. gates are better at top end of this league
than they would be in the bottom half of the league above. just a old cynic .

I think going on recent years if we don't get up this year then we will revert to the slump that happens in every league we are in

Exactly my fear too.

The one thing that would be in our favour is if there are percentage fees to be had from the sales of Maddison and Wilson if they go.

That is the one thing that could enable Robins to get a more competitive squad next year.
