Well yet again we can’t rise to the occasion when it matters. Think some viagra is required for the first team before Cheltenham.

They could do with some decent pre workout juice. Make them go out wanting to kill somebody.

How many points is a good goalkeeper worth in a season. Burge has made yet another mistake that put the game away from us. I’m fed up of walking past his fancy merc outside the Ricoh knowing I’ve paid towards him having that that. I might wait and tell him next time.
Do me a favour next time please-can you throw a brick through windscreen of it!?

Back home and gutted. Basically it was like watching pub football when two massive guys (no 9 and 8) got the ball pumped up to them - defenders looked shit scared.

Hopefully we’ll do them in the play off final now.

Also, you have to say the Lincoln fans were great tonight. Loud and proud all game. Their fans and players all up for the battle tonight.

Same in the game up there, can’t help but think a lot depends on the Cowley’s staying if they’re to progress, whole set up seems perfect for them all.

Just got back. A very grumpy 125 mile trip to say the least.
Out battled, out fought and bullied tonight. they seemed a hard quicker across the whole pitch. Got what we deserved. They aren't a great team but they all give 100%. Appalled by their gamesmanship which was taken to another level. Referee is a premier league ref and was very poor imo. Didn't twig what they were doing until about 70 min in.

Was good to hear Robinsripping into them on CWM.

Burge getting a lot of blame for the fourth when I though Grimmer had it covered and then ran away from the ball and the player? Might need to see it again but I was in line about 10 rows from the front.

Crucified if he comes off the line, crucified if he stays on the line. <snip>.
If he were crucified, he'd probably save a few more since his arms would be outstretched.

I have always said Burge reminds me of Jesus! Doesn't like crosses

I am the same the view I had seem that the ball was up in the air for Burge to come and get it! But sitting the opposite end from it might be deceiving so will hold my judgement until I see the replay of the goals

Having looked at the goals he couldn’t stop the first which was like Biamou the other other week a lucky strike, the others he was slow off his line as he isn’t brave enough, but Haynes is just as guilty as is Shipley of lack of bravery they prayed on our week left side and it showed last night that Shipley adds very little solidity to it.

Just watched the highlights again and noticed that Grimmer had 2 men for the 3rd and nobody tracked back for the 4th. Had the winger tracked back on both occasions then it would have helped. He clearly should have done better for the 2nd but has been hung out to dry for the other 2.

Any opposition fans would be great though seeing their team bully, out-muscle and keep scoring against the opposition.

They went very quiet both times after we scored.

I would want to face them again for sure.

It's the Yeovil thing all over again. They were talking about just how brilliant they were, but completely didn't notice how shit we were on the day.

Same last night. Shocking defending gifted them an easy path through our back four.

I wouldn’t. They are bigger and stronger than us in every department. In the second half they swallowed us up and we didn’t get a look in.

The reality is everyone else in it would want to play us

We surely cannot play so defensively badly again and earlier into he campaign we faced the exact same team at their place and won.

I would really fancy our chances if we came across them again at Wembley. Definitely. At times we cut right through them going forwards.

But we HAVE played defensively badly two home games on the trot. We play like this against Morecambe we will likely miss the playoffs (though we have to beat Cheltenham first!) as Mansfield appear to be back on track. Lower in the table sides like Yeovil should not be scoring one let alone six if we have any chance of making a fist of it in L1.

I am no psychic, but if we get promoted I forsee many bad days ahead.

Mansfield who have only won 1 in 10 and only drew their last game 1-1 at home?

You don't need to be a psychic. Facts are that we struggled on the breakeven model before we were relegated from L1, will not significantly gain from attendances (maybe 2k more) and have sold most of our assets. I don't believe thre are many managers out there that manage to get teams punching significantly above their weight (money spent on the pitch)*, and so until there is a change of ownership and new direction for the club, it's hard to see us doing anything other than bouncing between L1 and L2.

*Before anyone mention AS or Lincoln, show me the proof.

how do you work that one out? they're the only team in the top 8 with worse recent form than us, (admittedly it's close)

Maybe its the lack of sleep and the disappointment from last night.

But I'm going to have to take a long hard look at if going to midweek games is really feasible for me after that performance.

It took me over 3 hours last night to get home add on top of that the time getting to the match. Then you have all the costs.

Petrol, tickets, Parking, a quick snack and so on.

I was really looking forward to the match. I actuality felt confident that the team would come out the blocks like we did on Friday. But sadly that dint happen.

Piss poor defending and school boy errors cost us. It really is the basics we get wrong. If I want to see a big number 9 bully a defender I could just go and watch Sunday league. Its great robins having a massive go at players. But he is the one who changed a winning team again. He is the one that did not make changes again. I wish he would wise up to the fact that if his tactics arnt working, He needs to change them asap.

At 4-2 down why did he not put Reid on and let him run at them. each time we did run at them they backed off of had to foul us.

im not even going to get started about corners and throw ins.

Also the players never look like they have any fight. challenge after challenge the bottle out of tackles.

Im sure I'm over reacting and will change my mind. But its getting very difficult to justify going to midweek games for me. not only due the expense but also the time it takes.

On the replay it doesn't really show you how Burge turned into a little girl and that is not meant as disrespect to little girls

For years now our corners are fucking useless, how can it be possible to consistently be that bad at taking corners? Opposition always seem to take a decent corner so why have do our lame fucks struggle? and don't even get me started on that ginger twat standing like a statue on throw ins...still fucking seething at last night!!!!!

Seen the goals and most definitely Burge came out and stopped wherein he did have time to at least punch the ball away and or get in the face of Fremington if he kept going. On the whole Jack Grimmer is the villain of the piece for 3 of the goals in my opinion

By back on track I mean that they got 5pts from 9...but would've had 7 had PV not scored a last minute equaliser in a game dominated by Mansfield. Let down so many times historically, I have more faith in Mansfield getting the points they need to keep the pressure on than us not messing it up!
