Ten games to go with seven points behind third...

No, don't think so. Would say we would probably need to win 8 out of our last 10 games to achieve it.

Too big an ask.

The good thing is we played well tonight. Play like that every week and we will certainly win a lot more matches than not.

Win the next two, Crewe and Grimsby and it could get interesting if teams above have a wobble.

they also have a difficult local derby at the weekend. 6 points from the next 2 games and I think the optimism levels will soar.
Would be very disappointed if we miss out on a play off spot from the position we're in now.

I would say yes, but obviously need to up our home results, annoying as surrendering a 2 goal lead is a point was acceptable to me, we now have Luton out of the way and a nice run in of games we need 6 wins and not lose against Notts County and Lincoln very possible.

I'd be more than happy if we sneaked into 3rd, I can't see it though so think it will be playoffs.

Don't think my heart could take it though in a Playoff!

Autos aren't happening. There would need to be some serious luck going our way to that. If we won every game till the end of the season then I would say yes. But that won't happen.

I think it is very achievable, everyone felt a point against Luton be good. A lot thought we would loose, so on that basis what has changed? the only dissapointment is to go 2 up then draw. We have a good run in,have game in hand and play Notts c. Take it couple of games at a time, next two are definitely winnable and that should be minimum standard. Look at it again after grimsby. At this moment in time I say 3 Auto spot is massively possible.

And it's all well and good looking at Notts County, but we have to overtake FOUR teams above us, it's not just Notts County, we have to better Exeter, Mansfield AND Notts County's results.

I certainly wouldn't say 'massively possible.'

As I just said above, we need to overhaul 4 teams above us. We need to better all 4.

That makes it much more unlikely.

Is it 'realistically achievable', yes. But, we have to start winning a few games on the bounce. By no means should we expect autos - I'd take playoffs now.

We've got a game in hand on Notts County and we play them in the near future so we could feasibly catch them up. Our run in, on paper at least, is quite favourable as we only have to play Notts County and Lincoln in the top 10. So somewhere down the line the teams above us are going to take points off another.

3rd place could be anyone's from 3rd-9th.

No. Play-offs are, but I still wouldn't put it past us to somehow fuck that up as well.

Considering how this season has gone for us with key injuries at the start and up and down form, getting into the play offs is about right for us.

I do fear play offs though. If we are knocked out it will be another pre season of player movements and another season in this dog of a league.

None of the teams above us are cknsistent either. Tesm that gets 3rd will hsve to win 7 or 8 of final 10. Lets see if we can be thst team

Mansfield wycombe exeter lincoln notts county swindon

We have got good resukts vs them all. We can be the 3rd best team in this league

Bring on crewe!

Mansfield worry me the most. I think they are the best team of those chasing that 3rd auto spot above us.

It would be so deflating, even though a degree of success having been achieved to get there.

We make the playoffs we have to make it count.

Our run in on paper looks easier than the other teams. But that doesnt mean anything. Looking at our performance vs Barnet and Luton.

3 of our last 4 games are at home. Which i think is an advantage.

But this is where we need to pick up our away form. Nothing less than 6 points vs Crewe and Grimsby then game on!

Well yep, win those two and let's see where we are and if those above are wobbling.

Had we won, I'd have said yes, but 7 points is too much even with a game in hand. We would need to win 7-8 of 10, and I don't think we're good enough to do that.

Its not happening.

Yep, 7 points with 10 games left is a hell of a gap and we can't just look at Notts County and the game in hand we have over them and that we also still have to play them.

We can overtake Notts County for sure, that is doable, but we also have to overtake 3 other teams too.

A bridge too far unless the teams above have a bit of a slump and as Clive Eakin said on CWR last night, we would probably need to win 8 out of our remaining 10 games to achieve automatic promotion.

All we can do is cross our fingers that those above us all falter.

Mansfield and County play at the weekend. Exeter have Swindon next week who I expect to have a surge under Phil Brown, Mansfield then have Luton away.
I've no doubt the 4 teams you mention will drop the points we need them to, it's whether we then pick up the points we require.
I wouldn't bet on us doing it but it's not beyond the realms of possibility.

It's the two in combination isn't it. The four teams above all dropping points AND us making up the points difference too.

That's what makes it a massive ask.
