Should add an edge to the rearranged match.
On another note ten pages on a matchthread that never happened ain't bad.

Work with them on what though?

honestly nick, I honestly don't get why you don't just come out with the fact you want him sacked rather than just keep hinting that he needs to change things but you have no faith in him doing so.

Because we are always saying how we are too big for this league and how amazing the Ricoh is. Pretty embarrassing I've seen people on driving lessons this morning. Pussies

well, already half of the championship postponed as well.

What are you on about now? Have you ever actually made an actual point in your thousands of posts?

Saying "It gives robins more time to work with the players" doesn't make sense, maybe it would at the start of the season but it's 7 months into the season.

I have been over it in multiple threads and have never once said I want him sacked, if I did I would just say it straight up.

That doesn't necessarily justify anything, could as easily confirm things.
What might have happened that doesn't happen any other day of the year.
Did people get all of life's necessities completed this week?

Aww. Lincoln’s cup final has been called off

I may be the most distant ST holder and I made an early start from Brighton to get through the train chaos out of London but only made it as far as a Pub at Euston so not too bothered about it all.

We'll had irony to things you don't understand as well.
You're saying cv6 is fine so we should go ahead, and you're also saying that cv6 weather conditions may be different from all the other places that have already postponef, so we're different. You're not acknowledging that 99% of fans that were going to attend today do not live in cv6, and the Lincoln fans have a fair trek, as do quite a few of our fans who don't live in Coventry let alone cv6.

At the end of the day the decision has been made due to the snow in the stands and the distance Lincoln have got to travel. At the end of the day, this is a leisure time activity and peoples safety should come first. This is a sensible decision.

There's absolutely nothing we can do about it, the decision has been made, so there's no point moaning about it.

If the snow wasn't in the stands do you think it would have been called off?

Re-heat it for the rugby fans tomorrow is my bet ;)

I shouldn’t think those toffs eat mystery meat pies they probably have the finest meat only be more of a worry for them if the beer delivery doesn’t make it having to watch that boring game with no beer might put a few off for life

I don't know why people are blaming Lincoln, seems a stadium decision. They felt there was a doubt the stadium could be made safe and this...

"Combined with the distance that Lincoln City fans were set to travel to the game, the decision was made to call the game off at 9:50am."

Obviously the decision to call the game off needed to be made sooner rather than later for the sake of fans making long journeys in less than perfect conditions. Fans always moan when they aren't taken into consideration. I just think an early decision when a game is in doubt respects all supporters. Some of our fans sound like Sunderland fans where everything is deemed to be a conspiracy.

And I don't necessarily agree with that but on that basis this decision could /should have been made Thursday /Friday.
In general though I think it's the wrong call and a sad statement on where we're going as a society..
Fortitude and Hardiness are becoming obsolete traits.

I don't think it's a conspiracy it just seems a bit strange.

There was no "We will make a decision in the morning", it was dead certain "the game is on". Lincoln then put out that they were unsure this morning and then its off.

Especially after I had heard yesterday that Lincoln had tried to get the game called off (again, was just hear say).

As the lincoln fans had already set off that point is moot

traffic is fine in cov mate

But as you were using the fact that other games had been called off as a validation my point still stands

South stand would be half empty anyway so brush the snow across

Thats what I thought, the game is 3 hours away. Move it all to one side and put the black fabric over it.

Then chuck shit loads of salt / grit down the aisles.

LCFC announcement of 'unsure' was based on information provided to them by CCFC.

The only way the Imps could have pushed for a postponement is if they made a representation to the EFL and the EFL in turn instructed CCFC accordingly if there was any merit in the representation, there is absolutely no evidence that happened and certainly the EFL did not intervene.

The decision was entirely that of the stadium licencee, who's chopper is personally on the block.

so a week on the training ground working on set pieces and defensive set up, shape etc isn't beneficial ? You might be at odds with all professional managers who would disagree on that one.

It will also give JCH another week of training to continue towards being fully match fit where he can complete 90 minutes for us.

Personally I think he can use this time effectively.

Failing that, we can post "burge has hoofed it up to nobody" and "he wont change it" on the match threads

Agree. Pitch is fine, roads are fine, so if it's entirely down to snow in the south stand, surely that could have been cleared? Seems odd.
Is there not enough room to move those sitting in the south stand to other areas of the ground, it's not like it was a sell out. 10,000 tops

All major roads are fine in the city, and the roads are fine on the journey from Lincoln as confirmed by their police. The side roads have about 2 inches of snow in CV5. I remember as a kid, left the house and the snow was upto my knee, as the door slammed shut all the snow fell off the roof and absolutely covered us. We just got on with it. The game should go ahead.

Beneficial in which way? What is going to suddenly change in a week that hasn't in the whole season?

I'd much rather we played after training all week for it, surely it would have been focused on Lincoln anyway?

Doesn't explain all the Premier games on though.

Don't those away fans all need to travel?

Bad timing this, dont fancy more unwanted midweek fixtures or break in momentum. Just been up tesco and looks clear everywhere. Didnt come down that much overnight did it?
