I saw Oasis in Birmingham maybe about 2009 in Birmingham NEC. I think it was the penultimate gig beore they split. It was so flat and you could tell they ddi not want to be there. Noel and Liam just argued. You could tell they were on their last legs. Also saw Black Keys at Reading festival. Sooooooo boring

Roy Chubby Brown. Like a male Jo Brand, just shit tired fat jokes.

Music wise probably Blink 182 at Reading in 98 I think. Loved their stuff at the time and was really looking forward to it and they were fucking terrible.

Worst gig was probably the Boss when he was at the Ricoh. Wanted to see him for years but was more like a carnival on stage than a rock gig.

Oasis at the Ricoh in 2009 I think. Painfully dull, clearly a band that were heading for a split.

Was this the first or the second time he played?

I went the first time about 4 years ago and thought he was brilliant!

Bernard Manning at the Walsgrave Working Men’s - truly awful.

Music wise, I went to see Ocean Colour Scene in Milton Keynes, must have been around 2000, and it was just flat and boring! So so disappointed!

I absolutely love OCS and have seen them a couple of times since and they were superb so putting it down to a one off.

Another one was Paul Weller at Warwick Castle, full of posh wankers with blankets and picnics giving gentle ripples of applause. Completely devoid of any sort of atmosphere.

Rik Mayall stand up.

He just thought that swearing for an hour and 45 minutes resulted in him being funny. It didn't.

Don't think I have seen many bad gigs, apart from ones where I have gone to see acts that I haven't liked at all. Saw Bobby Brown and Soul II Soul and found both incredibly tedious and boring.

It was a trade off. My girlfriend would come and see Depeche Mode if I would go to see Bobby Brown and Soul II Soul.

Very much a grin and bear it scenario for me, whilst inside my organs felt like they were watching internal paint dry.

I saw the Sensational Alex Harvey Band live and hated that, but that was simply because it was so loud it all but made your ears bleed. Couldn't even make out any of the songs it was so blasting.

Steve coogan at the NIA about 6/7 years ago, sound was crap, he wasn't much better

I seen Micheal McIntyre at the NEC a couple of years ago as me and the Mrs really like him. He was pants-only on for about 1hr 15m and the warm up comedian was better.

Wishbone Ash back in the 80's at Stafford Bingley Hall. They cancelled while I was queuing to get in.

Otherwise I saw them about 5x & they were excellent tbh

I went to a date on that tour. How on earth was that allowed to make the stage?

Worst band would probably be Marilyn Manson at Wembley in 2007. Only really went to see the support but I don't mind a bit of MM. He was terrible. High as a kite and clearly not interested.

Guns n Roses saw them three times, shit, good and shite. Axl Rose is a fucking tool!
Chubby Brown and Billy Connolly both shit. Hoping that Jim Jeffries will make me chuckle tonight and Chris Rock next week

Back in the late 80s my mate sometime used to get me tickets for gigs at the NEC without asking if I was interested and I had the "pleasure" of going to see Motley Crue and Dave Lee Roth. I nearly sold the ticket for Dave Lee Roth to someone outside but my mate wasn't happy so I had to endure 2 hours of very loud utter shite!!

Ash at V fest in 96 were poor but apart from that I cannot say I have been to a concert and not enjoyed it. Few dodgy ones at Godiva etc but hey its free so not bothered!

Saw Russell Brand with a few friends for one lads birthday a few years ago. Absolutely awful. Not funny at all. All he went on about was asking women to meet him back stage, and the whole incident with the Faulty Towers grandaughter.

Rolling Stones on the Tumbling Dice tour at Brum - sound quality appalling - my first disillusionment as a teenager that some bands do not reproduce their studio albums.

Rick Mayall (the then unknown Ben Elton as support was good) - just a stream of puerile rubbish.

Paul Foot - most of the audience walked, something that is fairly common at a
Paul Foot gig. I love his stuff but he was awful that night.

Where you seeing Jim jeffries? Love him. Never given Rock a proper go, he always came off as a bit too “black humour” for a nerdy white guy like myself.

I saw a band called Flowered up in the early 90's at the tic toc in Cov utter tripe,They were supporting Ocean colour scene I think who were good.
Saw The Happy Mondays at Wembley arena in 1990,They couldn't play but the drugs helped and just danced all night laughing at Bez!!

I had the misfortune of having to watch about 20 minutes of Gorillaz the year they stood in for U2 at Glasto, self indulgent piffle (they were trying out "new stuff") shitting out a hedgehog would have been far more enjoyable.

So glad you told me that! Flowered Up were going to be the next big thing according to some sources and I had tickets to that gig, but we went home because it was so late and they still hadn't come on.

As far as I remember it was about 10 to midnight and they still hadn't taken to the stage.

the 2 Maher brothers who were in Floweredup are both dead now from heroin ODs. Pretty sad really.
They had a week long party in a hired mansion when they signed their first record deal and it was a bit legendary by all accounts!

Ozzy Osbourne at Leicester Polytechnic in the 90's. Last gig of their tour and Ozzy was pissed and bored and so were we in the crowd. Lou Reed at Warwick University was terrible, he was performing new stuff a mixture of folk/jazz, and me and a mate spent more time in the bar than watching that tripe.

Worst one I can remember was late 70's early 80's at MK bowl.
At the bottom of a line up of Police Madness The Beat Squeeze were a band from Chicago called Skafish who were rightly canned offstage.

Was at Glastonbury in 1995? when Evan Dando got bottled off stage as he was holding up Portishead from coming on. He wasnt actually that bad.
Blur on the Rollercoaster tour in early 90's were pretty poor. They ended up going on first every night even though they were supposed to take in turns with Dinosaur Jr, MBV and Jesus and Mary chain. Saw a fair few Blur gigs early on and they, or rather Damon Albarn in particular, wasn't great.
