It's all a bit strange withe the goings on with that. If he wants out to be closer to home then Pompey shouldn't really have to pay him off. If it's Pompey's choice then they would.

Unless the thinking is we could get a young promising Premier or Championship player in on loan.

As people have said, if someone suddenly comes in for your player and there is only one day left that gives you little or no time at all to bring in a replacement.

Don't get this signing.. I have a mate who is a Stanley fan and I go with him quite often. .watched davies a fair few times. .. Nothing special and very slow... I am baffled !
