To be honest, I don't even feel that the Premier League teams are English teams now. Back in the 70's and 80's, I would root for any English team in Europe. but now, the teams are so international, that they don't really represent the town/city/country the club is in.

football season doesnt end till may

i could watch frame after frame of snooker when i was a kid/teenager. dont have the patience now or feel like i am wasting the day away. a shame, hopefully i can watch some games this time round

UEFA really made a mess of Europe didn't they. The European Cup was for the winners, then the incredibly tough UEFA Cup, and the relative lottery of the Cup,Winners Cup. Two very good competitions, and the CWC which could Spring a few surprises. Now it's a complete farce and a soap opera.

I have a stinking cold - snooker is saving what's left of my sanity. There are a couple of Cov fans there too. Never noticed them before.

My sister lives in Leicestershire nice and rural though not in the city area. They're all Tiger fans round her way they seem to support the rugby team. Got funny accents though but friendly enough I've found. And all the times I've been to her house and been in a few pubs over the years, its the rugby side they talk about !
