Technically it's only 16 years as 34 of those years we didn't need a promotion .

We were pretty fucking likely to get promoted last year. we were something like 10 points clear of 3rd at one point.

That is my most hated statistic. No top six finish since 1970. Absolutely disgusting for a club like ours. Simply no excuse. In just three years time it will have been 50 years!! Has any other club got a worse record?

I can't believe the highs of last season compared to now....
50 years ago the only way you could see the best players was to go up to Highfield Road. I got to see all the best as a kid. British that is. Not like today all imports. Not likely to witness that again unless we have a FA Cup run. Unlikely as we go out early these days. And City were a decent team back then. Few relegation scraps with a few easy seasons chucked in. Top flight football tho. Didn't realise I was so lucky compared to today's City fan kids.

Indeed.
Annoys me, the victim tendency, that goes woe is me when we've been more successful than most clubs in the land.
Still, on the plus side SISU are taking us to a level that'll make it more likely we can get a top 6 finish. We shoyuld thank them for that, if that's all we're after.

It was more likely when we dropped to league 1.
