OK, I'm feeling brave. 20 strikers then. (though wish I'd limited it to 20 years or just focused on Wilson).
I'll give you Keane, Dublin, Ndlovu, Huckerby, Regis, Houchen, Gallacher, Whelan, McSheffery, Adebola, Best, Hartson, Aloisi, (grudgingly Bell-end) Bellamy. Got another 6?
See, I'm not sure about the flying postman - is he really better than Wilson (perhaps Armstrong at present)? I ruled out Cedric Roussel too - I think Wilson is better.

Over to you Astute - though six might not be that difficult.
How dare you leave out Micky Quinn for starters?

Ànd Wilson is now better or was better when he left?

Clarke, Mifsud until he got greedy, Speedie, Gibson and Quinn. Grrr got to get back to work before the 6th comes to mind.

I feel sorry for you if that is the best you have seen. I started late 70's/early 80's. They wouldn't even come close to my top 100.
Astute although I agree with your sentiments (my first Cov game was 1980) but I think you misinterpreted what I was trying to do - Pick a starting 11 containing 6 players from the current squad and 5 former players who are still plying there trade. Coming Astute, and anyone else, give it go (it ain't easy).

I think terry just falls out of 30 years.
Agree on mifsud, Clarke and Quinn. As for speedie, gutted I left out one of my faces.
But you didn't limit it to 20 years. You just wished you did  I kept to players from my days as a supporter that I watched play.

Count me out. Been up since yesterday morning. Chasing kids around for school. Going to bed when done.

Bill Glazier
Big George Curtis
Scott Dann
Ronnie Farmer
Dion Dublin
Tommy Hutch.
I like this choice, SBK, but I could be tempted to replace Ronnie Farmer with Dennis Wise.

Oggy-We need a GK for sure and he was the best in my era.
Roland-Ditto for RB.
Killer-Not the best CB we've had but possibly the best for the situation we are in. Wouldn't take any of this half arsed crap from the current crop. Captain too. And can score pens.
Yorath-Before my time but from what I've seen in footage and heard off my old man, the midfield general we need and another possible captain.
Dion-Need a target man and a goalscorer and he was the best at both that I've known at City.
Keane-I reckon him and Dion now would do the job and keep us up. Be better than Tudgay, anyway.

Just for a laugh, or another distraction to the current shit-ness, consider this:

If you could pluck 6 players from CCFC's past and stick them in this current team, who would you choose? Players that you believe could make such an impact, that relegation could indeed be avoided.

My choices: GK Bill Glazier, CB Gary Gillespie RB Roland Nilsson CM Lloyd McGrath AMF/RMF David Thompson, CF Cyrille Regis

These are open to debate, of course, and these are the first that popped into my head.
Arthur Lightening goalie.
Stuart Pearce full back
George Curtis centre half
Ronnie Rees and Tommy Hutchinson wingers
George Hudson centre forward

Oh players still playing. Can we have loans? Because if not the midfield is going to be shit. What about people like Daniel Sturridge?

Westwood
Christie Clarke Turner Rawson
Stevenson Reilly Bigi/Henderson
Keane Beavon/Sturridge Wilson

Was it Guillame Beuzaulin or something? Alex Evtushok had 30 minutes at Old Trafford in '97, 3-0 down, all goals went through him, Strachan benched him for the rest of the season methinks.

To be fair, I think the dross we've had is almost an endless chasm of shite...that Che Bunce was crap as well, nothing worse than a lump of a centre back who hates physicality.
