he needs to come out and say exactly how they plan to increase revenues going forward to help with being break even. It's all well and good keep saying what we don't get, he needs to start thinking about how they can use the ccfc brand to start making more money for the club. It needs some great marketing, some decent PR and starting from the bottom up with fans.

Yeah, MMM had it right earlier but I was too busy to reply, and it is here too.

Break even is great but...

Can't help but feel break even is not for the club's benefit. Marketing and PR is tough with no budget and a culture of failure but, they could at least try...

Haven't said fans have killed the club

I got two sets of messages
1. Appalled upset at events last night
2. I'm an impassioned football fan - agree with the acts

It's unlawful. We'll stop them getting on the pitch. It's costing the club money (to pick up the punishments)

1. Appalled upset at events last night: Jonathon Strange & Sandra Garlick
2. I'm an impassioned football fan - agree with the acts: All other CCFC Fans

Sort of confirmed what I thought.

We have dissociated owners who reading between the lines would like to get out if somebody came along with enough money, in the meantime it is well keep it going on life support as the alternate is to close it down or sell for nothing very much, neither of which are very attractive.

Fisher is basically there to run the club knowing that he will get no further funds to do as good as he can with the very little he has on hand.

He said he is not taking a salary, so why is he doing it?

Only thing that comes to mind is some sort of profit share if SISU sell.

There is plenty of things they can do that's free or very cheap.

I can understand not being able to do multi million pound marketing campaigns but basic customer service, making fans feel wanted would be a start. Break even isn't ideal, but it's then down to CCFC and the people who are paid to bring in business to think outside the box to make revenues go up.

Break even is fantastic if they have people at CCFC who are going to make that figure go up year on year with the money coming in from advertising, tickets, commercial stuff etc etc.

Keep saying they should watch the people in the JSB zone and see how the volunteers make those kids feel wanted and learn from it and try and take some on board when dealing with fans.

he was asking fans to do that, you know, the ones who are to blame for BPA and not getting a CB in Jan due to having to pay the fine

last commercial manager lasted how many months before he gave up?

Biggest problem is that there is no trust between fans and the club. People won't spend any more money as they don't trust the owners and ultimately it will affect the team and club.If Sisu aren't looking to sell then we have 2 options. Support and pay up or leave the club to slowly rot away.

Very clever interview. "I don't work for SISU, I work for the Club - except I'm not paid" Managed to avoid all questions about long term plans and agendas because his remit is to ensure that the Club operates within a budget. It is clear that SISU aren't going to put a penny into the Club - we need help!

Every time someone said "i am not renewing next season" he said "i am sorry about that"

I honestly don't know why he bothered. Not one single person will have believed the investment in Jan, which is surely the only reason he was on.

I think he has done more damage than good this evening.

Didn't really see much thinking outside the box for the fans down here in the stands, unless he was just hawking corporate and commercial packages.

People have posted so many ideas on here over the years that will mean better customer services and maybe help get bums on seats. It won't mean people saying NOPM will suddenly come flooding back, but it needs to be tried.

As someone that knows Jon Sharp I can confirm Tim is telling us lies here. The majority of the rumour earlier in the year came from the Telegraph and nothing to do with an actual deal. Tim contacted John but it was just a short conversation to which John wasn't sure of without guarantees. Since John purchased the ground he has had no contact with tim or any of his team
No surprise there. BPA won't be put off by fans but bloody well will by the prospect of having anything to do with these Sisu polecats. Imagine it, just imagine being in any kind of business relationship with Sisu.

Probably gets a percentage of player sales too

You've got to have a direction, an identity people can rally around. That can be scrappy community club, but then you have to embed yourself in the community and play cuddly and warm. That can be on our way to greatness, but then you have to back it up with cash and ambition. You can even be "saving for a stadium" like Arsenal did, but you've got to actually have a stadium to show for it.

Everything comes back to lack of action or exactly the wrong action on behalf of the people running the club.

Honestly, people do down fan ownership, but could we really do any worse? At the very least you'd have more people feel connected to the club.

that is a question people keep letting Fisher get away with.

If you're not getting paid and you have all these other business interests why are you actually doing the job?

one minute he said the club will die if they don't leave the ricoh and all attempts to secure a stadium site have been fruitless and the next minute he said the club would be a good investment!

Listening to Timmy boy I basically think that we the fans are the only way the club will survive by supporting the team. Much to a lot of people's stances of not wanting to but that's where we are.

I don't understand why he is at the club if he doesn't get paid and clearly doesn't enjoy it? He basically described himself as purely being a bean-counter, controlling the cash flow isn't difficult if that's his remit. He's concise when stating he hasn't taken a penny from 'the club' in 18 months and doesn't work for sisu, So what are his business interests and how is he benefiting from his Sisu relationship?

Agree, there are so many things they can do to make people feel connected.

It's alright talking in account speak and break even but what he should have done from the start is try and make it a community club like you say. Try and make the fans feel part of it, involved and wanted. If the same thing was done, but more transparent and communicated properly (and maybe even done by a new bloke rather than Fisher) then the outcome and feeling towards it could have been different.

He should be asking for the details of everybody on the phone in who said they wouldn't renew and phoning them all up. Look at places like Sky when you try and cancel the hoops they jump through to try and keep you.

It doesn't need multi million pound marketing budgets, it needs to think outside the box for a change to make people feel wanted which can cost nothing. If SISU are forcing CCFC to run at break even, then CCFC need to be trying to make the best of a shit situation.

Of course I'd love a rich new owner to come in and plough millions in, but being more realistic then if it is break even they need to have targets of making that figure higher and higher year on year.

We have to live within our means
Crowds are too small the fans need to support the team
The protests are damaging the team
We have been blocked on a number of sites but there are two under consideration but I can't tell you where it's commercially sensitive.
The club is not involved in the legal cases what the owner chooses to do is up to them

There are people of power within the city working against the club. It looks like the club is being forced out.
We must own our stadium and have access to all the incomes 24/7/365 without that we can not compete
The owner has invested 60m trying to make it work

The club is close to operating profit despite the reduced attendance, interest is payable to the owners so is not a concern. The loans are owed to the owners so really isn't proper debt as not owed to 3rd parties.
We are working hard to improve things
We are looking to replace the manager, commercial director, to bring players in.there is still some budget available.
It can't work unless the fans and decision makers get on side with us
.
How can the trust bid for Ccfc its ridiculous they can't file accounts on time they don't have the money
We are working with Cov rugby to put on joint non match day events, we need 100% of the income we generate.
We only get 72k turnover at ricoh at HR we used to get over 1m
Nothing to report on the academy there have been meetings
Nothing to report on the ricoh wasps have made their position. clear

who called him and said that about the club and the fans? because it wasnt Jon Sharp or anyone else at the club

What he probably meant was that the fantastic fans of CCFC have demonstrated what a useless waste of space SISU are for a sports club, the penny has dropped and having ruined one local team he's realised what a complete idiot he would have to be to get into bed with SISU.

Add some Timmy spin and you get a different story.

Totally agree, also if he was that good, plenty of other companies would be paying him a fortune.
Why work all hours for nothing?? doesnt add up at alll!

Problem is it's toxic. A bit like selling timeshares in Chernobyl.
Gotta give the commercial people something to work with.
Does also go back to this point on little access to matchday and non-matchday revenues.
