what does that even mean in the context of football support ? are you saying because im not at a game I cant be a supporter ? are you saying the city crest tattooed on my arm means nothing unless im waving it in a crowd ? or are you just another chimp who has posted without thinking ? .

I think they are saying you are thick.

Chimp?

This is a difficult one. I'm a season ticket holder and I live in Derby and my Son lives in Leicestershire so this is the only time we meet up now so I'm going in although I hate SISU. This is also a rare Sat home game this season as night games are difficult for me to attend. SISU already have the revenue from season ticket sales so they won't give a shit anyway. #PUSB

I probably won't go, though not really decided yet.

I just wish we could have a protest where whatever it was that was planned, everyone did the same thing. It would gain much more attention. This one again seems so half-arsed and split.

Gould luck to the team and much respect to the fans marching.

You are never going to achieve a 100% successful boycott so as a plan that's always going to fail.

Yea but at least it's something people complaining about nothing going on anything protest wise has to be admired no matter how big or small it shows they care

Season ticket holder but decided to boycott today. Find it sad that our fan base is so divided, we virtually all detest our current owners but so many are just prepared to sit on their hands. You've paid for your season ticket, so what, if you dislike our current situation do something about it.

Your last statement I'm not sure many would disagree with - the issue is whether a boycott is the right way to go about things. The march is fine, and I will be joining that later today; the boycott however I won't.

The people 'sitting on their hands' are not the season ticket holders who attend today's game, it is the countless thousands who sit on their hands every week and do absolutely nothing. They don't follow the team and have somehow convinced themselves that they are taking action simply by doing nothing. That's a cop out. They'll probably enjoy today and will claim to have joined in with a protest when in reality they have done nothing of the sort.

Charlton fans are making waves, not beause they sit at home, but because they get off their arses and make a scene. For me, the ST holders who join the march but then go into the game are much more important in this fight than the keyboard warriors who do nothing other than post comments on the CT site.

I totally respect your decision to not go today, and I imagine as a ST holder it wasn't an easy decision for you in many respects.

Today will come and go, and hopefully we can plan something next time that is less devisive and can bring everyone together.

A similar one to the pig protest last week is what's needed.

Everyone can get involved it's a bit of fun and also conveys a strong message that something isn't right which in turn becomes headline news.

When we are on tv against Sheffield Utd is the day to protest as it will have the biggest effect.

If you've already bought a ticket for the game then the march or boycott is a bit pointless. As pointed out earlier, You've already put money into SISU by buying the ticket.

not 100% of people threw pigs onto the pitch last week, did that fail ?
But that protest was designed to have a visual impact and stop the game. A boycott is designed to have the ground as empty as possible. You would need to have a number significantly down on the usual attendance to claim it as a success.

the march and boycott will get more publicity than doing nothing at all. Surely any publicity that keeps us (and SISU) in the public eye is a good thing ?

Even by your standards they reply is totally idiotic.

Not there today sadly.
Would have gone in tho regardless.
Fair play to those that wanna or don't wanna, or marched or didn't.
I didn't think it was the right game, televised game in a few weeks was the one for action, and quite possibly is a better day for guerrilla ( pig's ) tactics , I hope something can be organized for this, I would gladly put funds towards it

I'm a season ticket holder and me and my son are attending the game based on the fact I've paid anyway.
For those who do choose to stay out side fair play to you.
I do think a plastic pig type protest we seen last week is far more effective and gains more media coverage than a boycott. Bringing a game to a halt is far more likely to get coverage at this level.

I am doing my own kind of personal protest.

Am in the ground but am refusing to let anyone into my row.

I'm all for the boycott. I haven't been to a game at all this season. I'm just saying if you've bought a ticket and then boycotted then you've defeated the object really.
