We need a manager who works on a very tight budget, nay a very very tight budget, has the ability to spot good bargain players and get the best out of shit players, not saying ours are shit but if they have that in their armoury it may well help.... ohh and someone who can out think the oppos manager too...ahh well back off to daydreaming again now

It has to be someone who can motivate our young lads on the pitch. TM has steered the ship back onto a firmer heading sorting out all the football related issues, the training ground, even a team bus painted in CCFC colours with a model in place that feels like a club again. His budget was not enough after he saw the Madison money disappear and the next man will need to work within the same limits. I believe he chanced his arm at premier league clubs releasing their players on loan and that proved decisive when they were not available? The young players I'm convinced will come good in time and a motivator plus a tad bit of willing investment may see us rescue what has become a poor start to the season. TM walked as an honorable man and clearly stands accused of nothing from SISU's standpoint , though perhaps disappointment from our own fans for quitting after so much ground work? I'm sure there is more to his decision on a personal level. He resigned himself out of frustration with a lack of support when desperately needed. So a new man has to be a footballing man with passion who can inspire the best from what we have. The building blocks are there. Holloway springs to mind in that type of category and his record in lower league success speaks for itself.
One thing it proves is there are no easy answers and simply appointing one manager after another is distablising in itself. Is Neil Warnock available? That's the guy for this club right now in this moment.

Paul Hurst Grimsby 5+ years and has a 50% win ratio
Jim Bentley morecombe 5 years 32% win ratio
Steve Davis Crewe 5 years 32% win ratio
Gareth Ainsworth Wycombe 4 years 38% win ratio

Stu I think we have to look short term for once . The building blocks are pretty much in order thanks to TM. All we need now with immediate effect is a promotion run. To try and get up a league quickly. The man for that has to be Neil Warnock surely? After that's achieved we can then look again at longer term managers to continue building the club back up. For now the fans, the town just about everyone need some success however achieved before we become obsolete in the eyes of many. Warnock's task would be simple - two seasons to get us up or be gone. Bonus on offer for doing it. I'd get on that ride readily.

1) we've got no chance of getting Warnock
2) we've got very little chance of getting promotion this season. There are no foundations in place. We will continue to leak goals and we will continue to struggle to regularly score goals. There isn't the strength in depth or quality to go and get 68 points from our remaining 36 games to get us to the magic 74 point mark, and with no window until Jan no real ability to bring in someone that will have an instant impact.

Yeah, I think we should maybe be avoiding stats of 32%, though of course it is not an exact science.
Have always liked Tisdale . Don't know much about Hurst at all.

He would be great laugh, imagine the shit he would say about the state of the club. I rate the bloke but not a cat in hells chance of him being at the club, Him, Martin Allen, Warnock and Evans are not the types that would tow the line.
I think Cotterill, O'Driscoll and Robbins will be sounded out. Any manager in work at the moment will be hard to get, however if we were not a basket case Id be happy with Ainsworth or Graham Alexander.
My money goes on O Driscoll, local, decent coach and will not demand the money.
