I'm sorry but I still think you're being lined up to be Franchise FC 2. Probably in Birmingham but maybe elsewhere.

Also still think you should boycott the Franchise FC away game, not take 7, 500 with you
Why would anyone take us to Brum long term, the clubs that originated there, have there history there,
And still play there can't sell enough tickets now,
I've said it before CCFC are the only professional football club at the centre of a catchment area of Aprox
650.000 people, City could and should be reasonably successful here. IMHO

It shows the potential support we can draw on.
But the product on the pitch needs to improve before we get these people interested again.
It would be a logarithmic growth if we started winning every game, but it is highly unlikely scenario as this team is just not experienced enough.

What have Wasps got to do with it ? Grow up

They shouldn't be here. They shouldn't look to sabotage the club's academy. They should help their local Rugby club like they said they would.

Let's see how much they charge the club when the lease is up shall we.

do you live in Cov?
All things CCFC aside, do you think they do a good job running this City?

Are you real Clit? You must be the only one on here that doesn't know I live in South Wales. I was born and bred in Coventry but have spent half my life down here. My brothers, sisters, and mother live in Coventry, and I get up there to see them 4-5 times a year. I here from them about CCC and how they run Coventry, and come to the conclusion they are on a par with Cardiff, Borough of Caerphilly(Which is about 3 times the size of Coventry. It stretches some 25 miles up to the heads of the valley road at Merthyr along the heads of the valley road to Abergavenny, and down 20 miles to Newport) We all have shit roads and rubbish collection problems, what Council doesnt?

There's not a City council in the country that isn't facing catastrophic spending cuts,
It's out there for all too see, don't really understand why some can't or won't.

Are many spending millions on a swimming pool?

clit? very mature.
I have no interest in where you live or anything about your life, why would I?
Brylowes.
Cov council have fucked up one thing after another in this City, I'm not talking about rubbish collections, I'm on about strategic decisions that affect the citys future, it's nothing to do with cuts they've been doing it for years.

I could write a list but I can't be bothered typing it out it would be too long.

I don't disagree with you, I'm from Longford but moved away years ago, still a frequent
Visitor (mainly football) and usually stay City Centre.
Safe to say Coventry has failed on many fronts to keep pace with similar and even smaller
Towns and cities, the leisure and retail offer in Coventry is truly shocking.
Coventry seems to have managed less well than most with the decline of industry and
Manufacturing, the result is a city centre that lacks investment, and gives nobody
Reasons to want to visit it.
Aren't Friergate and city centre south supposed to go some way to address this?

Friargate could be a real boost to the city, problem is with talk of cutting the number of London bound trains stopping at Coventry it could end up another white elephant - perhaps someone should have checked before spunking a 100 million on it.
Still I'm sure our new partners in the West Midlands combined Authority will use their clout to help us out

What when they want them to stop at the new 300m new street station? Doubt it. It could be as pointless as building a station without trains..... Oh wait.....

With match and grant funding, investing to bring income into the City as the only 50m pool for quite some distance to try and counter the spending cuts?
There is already one in existence that is under used and located in the centre of town. The rationale for one in a poorly accessed suburb is weak to say the least.

You do realise a sports complex has opened in Birmingham I assume - with a 50 metre pool?

Edit: opens in December.

Birmingham has two football teams, let's shut ours down.

Coventry has always been strong on swimming, it hasn't bused them in from Birmingham.

That's absurd. Birminghams pool is being built in a university complex and is a far more attractive proposition than a stand alone unit in Earnsford grange.

The council admit very few people in coventry are going to use it and it will lose money.

It may well be. But not to the people of Coventry. I doubt many Coventry people will use the Birmingham one.

Whether the one in Coventry is viable or not...the opening of a pool in Birmingham is irelevant. I think you forgot you don't live in Coventry.

No it's not as the councils target market isn't people who live in Coventry. They've said that.
