As Dong has said if we as the fans ask to speak to Wasps and ask what would be needed to do a long term deal i.e rent etc and other revenue Sisu seem to want we can then tell the FL and make it public what sort of deal Wasps are looking for. Will it be realistic or Wasps playing hard ball. Someone respected such as a John Sillet type or the Bishop of Coventry who negotiated last time. Then its up to Sisu to forfill their obligations by accepting the deal or telling the FL exactly what they intend to do.
(The exact figure quoted by Wasps need not be public knowledge obviously but it would be portrayed as either acceptable or not).

I still say there is the land on the corner of Old Church Road.

There was a car rental/hire place there, but that quickly closed down. Looks more than big enough for a stadium I would say.

I know it was developed, but as I say, there's now nowt there.

Has anyone approached the council about that in terms of availability and leasehold and plans etc?

There is a rule, brought in when the MK Dons owner nicked Wimbledon out of London to stop it happening again. When we moved to Northampton I remember Fisher had to give certain assurances to our future ground situation and submit a financial bond, a million quid if my memory is correct. Have there been that many clubs share the same ground while in the same division ? Wimbledon certainly shared with Charlton and Palace but where they in the same division at the time, Wimbledon were in the Premiership.

Wimbledon and Palace shared from 1990-2003, both clubs spent times in the same division during that period.

Fulham ground shared with QPR at Loftus Rd from 2002-2004 (funnily enough following Wasps' leaving Loftus Rd for Adams Park)

Its not in SISU's interest to conclude a deal in the short term. It will best suit them to take it to the wire as the longer they leave it the more they can blame every other party and state that whatever the deal it is not acceptable commercially. Might even suite their court case agenda .

The closer to the wire they get the more they know that the pressure on all parties will increase in order to find deal. They will just sit tight and blame the others for not giving them the deal they need to remain.

This is the only card they have left to play (other than another court case of course)

Don't get your hopes up regarding any resolution re the Ricoh or the academy any time soon.

The brinkmanship is all part of it and the football league will agree to anything to ensure CCfc future including moving towns

I think he means about teams sharing in the same league, I might be wrong but I am sure it has been mentioned!
Nick is right, that is what I mean.

They may have had agreements and assurances in place at the time as we did when we moved to Northampton, certain the FL are not inflexible but Fishers ground proposals just haven't happened and look unlikely to do so which might make another temporary deal harder to get.

New Ricoh rent deal will include a clause to advise any company connected to or owning CCFC cannot undertake any legal action.

100% nailed on this will be a clause added by Wasps. They wont want to be stung. (Pardon the pun!). :)

If you can actually do that, then they would be mad not to.
They may also ask fir a clause that they cannot be devalued by the actions of the above in an attempt to buy them.
However for me if it was happening to Wasps by us I could stomach it far more than when it was happening to a charity

It's a shame that we could very well end up being kicked out of our own city by a London rugby franchise and a bastard of a council.

Or how about the FL go to Wasps and say are you prepared to extend the clubs agreement on the current terms. And then they could go to the council and request they asset the club with any plans they may have now or in the immediate future.

But that is someone else finding a solution. How about the owners either striking a deal, or as they have consistently threatened to do (without showing any progress) going it alone.

It was a response to Bruce saying the FL should talk to the other parties involved rather than just speak to SISU.

I will stick with how about SISU find a solution. It is their investment or lack of it after all.

Feck it lets move to Dublin its bound to be on Fishers mind. All the paddys love a bit of Coventry as lots came here to make a living.
(Both my parents are Irish and came here to make a living and Im a very proud Coventrian just like my parents) You never know its nearer Liverpool than London.:greedy:
