Quick Ticket Question (1 Viewer)

I know the subject of Ticketmaster has been discussed on here several times, but to save me scrolling through all the posts, on all the threads on my phone, can someone answer me one question.
If I purchase a ticket online, over the phone or in person, will a £1 admin fee be added to the ticket price no matter how I buy it?

I read elsewhere that someone purchased a ticket over the counter and was charged an extra quid. I can't work out how there's an 'admin fee' there and how that's allowed?

Because it is still using the Ticketmaster System to process / print it.

Scandalous. I don't consider myself tight or over principled, but I fail to see how there's not been some kind of backlash over this We're potentially being forced to pay an extra £50 over the course of the season for nowt.

Personally I'm amazed that so many Cov fans have seemingly never purchased a ticket for another sporting event/gig/festival before! Even if you buy off wegottickets where it's only a reference number to get in, there's still a 10% booking fee!

The fact that admin fees are added to gigs and have been for years, doesn't make this acceptable. I've never bought a gig ticket over a counter and been charged an 'admin fee'. So I ask for a ticket and they print one or rip one off a bunch, and they say "That'll be an extra pound". Nonsense.

this is ridiculous.

Nobody cares about £1. If you do then you're obviously in a very very dire financial situation in which case I'd question whether you were directing your very very scarce funds to the right place at a football game for entertainment, when you could be putting it towards a new village water well.

Other than that, you're all full of shit and just looking for something to moan at.

If you go to every game then get a season ticket :)

Where are your principles? Are you that much of a soft touch?
Sadly you sum up those that will stomach anything Sisu do and just roll over while they continue to take the piss and mug you off.

Have I misunderstood something or have we established that it's a ticketmaster fee? In which case what has that got to do with SISU mugging me off? Do they own ticketmaster?

A large proportion of our fans have a need to turn absolutely everything into an issue and one that they blame SISU for. It's embarrassing really

I agree with EastLancs (the tight bastard). It is the principle of suddenly paying an admin fee for something that was managed without one for many years. I know it isn't the club who are charging the fee, but the club should be taking into account how its customers might react.

It's an arbitrary fee that will ultimately see CCFC's income suffer. Ticketmaster's system is a cash cow for them.

The bit I find weird is that it isn't the club taking out the fee.

The other bit is that some of the people who are most outraged are the people who bang on about Wasps being great at business.

People said the old ticket system needed addressing, and it was, with the leading ticket company in the world and the ones that Wasps use (so they also have an idea on the stadium and seats) so it made sense to use them didn't it?

Jesus christ they can't win.

I understand your point. But nearly everyone (not saying you) was bitching a moaning the last 2 or 3 seasons saying how incapable the ticketing system was, that the site crashed every 5 minutes whenever anyone wanted a ticket. Saying it was an embarrassment. Saying we should be able to buy the tickets and print them off online (Is that a feature now? Think so might be wrong).

The answer to this is ticket master. They are experts at that. Obviously this is going to incur a fee. This fee has inevitable been passed onto the fans (the club will have modelled their pricing exclusive of ticketmaster fees).

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Surely the club have hired Ticketmaster to resolve the issues of the shambolic arrangements we have seen over the last few years. It is clearly an arrangement that is costing them very little as the people buying the tickets are the ones forking out the fees for the privilege of purchasing them.

This would all be fair enough, perhaps, if it suddenly produced an instant solution. ON the evidence so far it still appears to be a shamble. It's just a more expensive shambles as far as the fans are concerned!

They've not improved the service, merely outsourced the blame. It's poor and needs addressing.

Sisu appointed Ticketmaster to serve their football clubs supporters, so yes it has a direct bearing on Sisu. Also don't give it all the abusive chavest speak to somebody who 1) maybe not in as priveledged position as yourself, or 2) to somebody who has principles and srands by them

From what I've read there will be 4 turnstiles for POTG. There was 5 service points in the ticket office. If the same number of people without tickets turn up what difference will there be?

Sorry... "give it all the abusive chavest speak"... what does that mean? What is chavest?

But there will now be more people trying to POTG as its the cheapest way to buy tickets! I can't think of anything else where its cheaper to pay on the door than buying in advance.
You have just given the telegraph a new idea for an article....
