Why not? It's not as though he is going to be inundated with offers from elsewhere and hen isn't above us as a club.
Don't you believe it. Managers with far worse track records than Mowbray seem to get back on the merry-go-round time and time again. Once the sacking season starts again in the Championship, managers like Mowbray will be on the radar of plenty of clubs. You only have to look at some of the dross on the OP's list.

As for contracts, does anyone really think that they are worth the paper they are printed on any more. Just look at how many in-contract managers have left clubs this season. No more than a minor complication in these crazy times.

We need stability, and out of any of our previous managers under SISU TM appears to be the only one that has stood up to them and got his own way on a number of issues. They seem to be learning how to run something that resembles a football club these days and that needs to continue.

Fire TM and hire anyone on the OP's list and I fear it would be back to the old days where we are talking more about SISU than the team on here.

A football club is so much more than than what goes on on the pitch these days.

No we should stick with tm long term. We cant keep sacking managers it hasnt got us anywhere.

Not true, it saved us from relegation and got us to top of the table the following season.

Very true.

Sacking managers has saved us before too. We have been sinking and teetering around the relegation zone and replaced people and survived.

Also can be argued that had we sacked Thorn in time we would have survived that year too.

We have only lost most of the games by the odd goal from stupid goal keeping shit defending on dead balls if we could of only got another 10 points from the last 10 games we would of been sitting nicely in third place but we need to change our situation around and starting from Saturday when 3000 city fans have paid good money. We can still make the play offs but the confidence needs to come back quickly starting against Blackpool.

I am in the stick with Mowbray camp. If he were to leave, what about Carl Baker as player manager???
Great call and he is City through and through.

Potential great manager and one of the greatest City players of the modern era.

We can start a campaign when names are being bandied about for a new manager too, to make sure we get him.

What about 'Bakes not Fakes?'

But the difference in this situation is that we are not battling relegation.

If we were 20th and on this form then he would probably already have been sacked, and there wouldn't be much argument from me or anyone else. However we are not, we are still within a few points of the playoffs and in no danger of relegation. The worst that can happen is mid table mediocrity and a summer for TM to make a lot of decisions, changes and bring players in which suit his style of play. Just maybe that could set us up even better for next season's push.

I don't believe that sacking TM now will get us anywhere. No one else is any more likely to take us to the championship this season, i doubt even Mourinho could manage that. So lets stop the revolving door and give a manager more than 12 months. It might have worked for relegation avoidance but its been proven time and time again that it doesn't help us for long term goals of promotion.
