Time to give him a chance with Fleck missing? Just think with Bigi you get Fleck lite, so maybe a change in approach will be a good thing.

Could be of course that both Bigi and Rose get to play together, but I do think fresh blood and fresh impetus is what we need right now

Really hope Lorentzson is ready too.

Andy rose Chomping at the bit - is he a horse ??? if so great, more energy in midfield, but will cut the pitch up !!

I agree a bit of a shake up might be what is needed, we look jaded and short of ideas over the last 2 games, especially when faced with 2 banks of 4 defensive units sitting back letting us come on to them. Our game suits us when the opposition come at us leaving spaces at the back.

Andy Rose will add another dimension as I believe he is over 6ft, but how good is he, I suppose only time will tell.

I can't see Lorentzson getting anywhere near the squad until he's played 2-3 U21's games.

I'd like to see Rose in ahead of Bigi too.

a change up in the squad could be what is needed,

RCC
Ricketts Ramage Stokes Haynes
JOB Rose Vince Hunt
Tudgay Arma

Hunt on the left will give Haynes more protection and Rose through the middle,if he's all TM says he is, could offer more penetration.

leaves us good options from the bench too, need to get back to playing faster, sharper footy and not being "patient" as per Burton!!:sarcasm:

Yep, I'd get Rose in pronto. He may not have the passing flair of Fleck, but he'll get stuck in, carry the play forward and get his teammates motivated.

As for the lingering right-back issues we have, we discussed this yesterday; Hunt LB, Ramage and Stokes at CB, Ricketts RB.

If indeed Lorentzson is still a month away from full fitness, we may need a right back on a month loan as cover. Bit of a waste of a loan, but it's logical considering how wafer-thin we are regarding defensive personnel.

What's the latest on Martin ? Don't even know what his injury is. Certain there will be change at right back, I believe Bigiriamma has played there plenty of times for Newcastle U21s if this Lorentzen is not ready.

Lorentzon was walking from the players lounge to the stand for the 2nd half on Saturday, in his club tracksuit when the steward manning the doors asked if he had a ticket. His agent/friend had to point out that he plays for the club and be allowed through!

He obviously doesn't play for the club though does he, otherwise we would have seen him in action.

I'm sure they will, we came up with an arrangement with them to put them off suing us, so I imagine it will be a larger than the normal sell on clause.

Unless he's flat out refusing to play or were getting a couple of mill after sell ons and the like, I don't think we should let him go TBH. Will have to see what Rose is like but I wouldn't be happy relying on Bigi for the rest of the season in that role. Unless we go to a more traditional formation.

Hence why I put it in there. I think he's worth more here this season than anyone would be willing to pay. He's integral to our play and we are in with a shout of promotion.
