If we get promoted (1 Viewer)

Would you fully forgive sisu and joy?

For me it's a tough question but everything off and on the field is falling into place and must admit I have to praise them the past 6 months

NO!!!! For the simple reason they wrecked my Saturday's for a couple of years by employing shit managers, selling our best players and taking Coventry out of Coventry.

It's like your missus cheating on you when you gave everything to them. Possibly could work things out but will never be the same.

I'd fully forgive them if they invested once we were there. No point in going up if we're going to come straight back down.

I couldn't agree more with the past 6 months. Everything has been excellent! :)

No.
So we have had 6 months of hope out of all the years they have been here.

Totally fucked us all over and we should never have been in this position in the first place, a position they put us in.
Anyway keep being told Sisu and joy have nothing to do with the running of the club.

It's nothing like your missus cheating on you, you melt.

In response to the op. I can understand why people will continue to be pissed, even if we got promoted. For me though, this season they seem to have got a few things right.
The football's good.
We're near the top of the league.
We have a decent manager.
We're not spending money we don't have etc. Things seem to be looking up, and long may it continue.

This is how feel to an extent.

I won't cut my nose off to spite my face like some clearly do. I have been to a lot of games this season already. Mainly the ones in the CT comments section which I find all a bit silly but understandable. Not many clubs fans have had to put up with what we have.

I guess to answer the OP there is nothing to forgive as such. What has been done has been done and here we are. I won't cry over spilt milk with Northampton etc and I will live for the present and that's 4th in the league with two 6 pointers at home that could define our season. Yes sisu have played their part but I guess some would argue another thread starting "would you forgive the council of we get promoted"

The courts will decide off the field matters and us fans can't control any of that so its pointless to guess what will happen on that front but we can help get promotion and start packing out the Ricoh and get this promotion 2016 roadshow on the way. Still very long way to go of course.

So I won't forgive as I'm already over it and I live for now. It's all about moving on and being fans for this season. Promotion has nothing to do with it really for me.

What do you mean by forgive though? What actions would need to change?

The only real way I could see it, is if somebody refuses to go but does if we get promoted...

Did you forget about them taking us to Northampton? It was a pisstake for us having to play there for 12 months. The anger at the time most fans had was very hatred towards them

We are now a Club without a Ground thanks to sisu, so no I will not forgive them for destroying our Football Club.

No when I say forgive, I mean what would physically change.

Would it mean now buying shirts, would it mean now committing to a season ticket whereas you wouldn't before etc?

Nothing physically, forgiveness can be mentally too. But in terms of fans. Crowds slowly creep up means they finally doing something right

That's all I was asking of how it would be "shown" rather than just somebody saying "I forgive them".

A lot of people will never forgive them for taking the club out of Coventry - which I feel is understandable.

In the same way a lot of people will never forgive the council for selling out to a franchise and giving away a stadium built for us for next to fuck all.

But for me I will be more tolerable of SISU because they have put TM in charge, given him the opportunity to get a good infrastructure in place and we aren't getting into any more debt than we are in already.

That said they would have far more credibility if they stopped fucking about with the stadium idea. I think a lot of us would like our own home long term - if they can deliver it then get on with it, if they can't - be honest enough to come out and say it.

Thought you were clever?

Forgiveness is the intentional and voluntary process by which a victim undergoes a change in feelings and attitude regarding an offense, lets go of negative emotions such as vengefulness, with an increased ability to wish the offender well.

Never been first at anything and too old to change now.:)

Anyway waiting for them to apologise for what they did first.

And Richardson/Robinsion/McGinnity.

And Coventry City Council

Yes The Council didn't do us any favours either.

But Sisu promised us one we should have moved in to it by now.
Remember the 3 weeks time, and the "when we do well they will come":laugh:

Fair enough. The problem is it isn't black and white. In terms of sisu people have different views of what forgive is.

Personally I don't think I will ever totally forgive them, however as soon as we came back I got a ST and bought merchandise. That wasn't forgiving them.

For others have said they won't come back until they have left. So by their definition by going back to watch the team we must have forgiven them.

It was what it was and many people were to blame but that's gone now and the club is on the up. Would I buy a used car from them... no. Will I support my club... yes.

Still don't really get what SISU are about and why they are still here. I don't trust them one bit but I don't know how the club was run last three years or so was SISU as in Joy Sepalla policy or how Fisher and Waggott wanted to run it. Something has changed and someone has changed it but who and why have the riches of the big league influenced the change. Does Tim Fisher still have a role, the ground fiasco and the stringent budget our manager has to work with. Let's see if SISU allow 2or3 better players to be recruited to ensure promotion

The club was destroyed long before SISU arrived. In my opinion when we sold Highfield rd.

Not for Northampton no, I don't think they will ever be fully forgiven for Northampton, a reluctant truce.

If we get promoted I'd forgive for getting us relegated from the championship and for the poor football we've seen since, this season excluded obviously from the poor football.

I know we have no devine right but I feel we should be in the premiership.
Get us there and I will forget.

We should not be in the third division.

Championship is where we were when SISU took over promising the premiership. Deliver on their promise and I wil forget.

Robins - everyone was gutted when he left, Presley - everyone raved about him whilst we were at six fields, Mowbray - say no more. Taking thorn as the exception they haven't done too badly in my opinion. We are well known for selling best players so again it's not sisu. The only farce was the six fields saga but as we all now know there was definitely two sides to this issue.

I'd be happy to be promoted, and non-plussed about the owners and the emotional pantomime people get into about them.
